Nancy Pelosi is desperately trying to find a way to cling to power in November.
But Pelosi is going to hate to face one truth.
And this devastating new poll showed just how bad Nancy Pelosi’s future looks.
The National Republican Congressional Committee polled voters in the 77 battleground districts that will determine control of the House of Representatives.
In 2020, Joe Biden won these districts by 5.5 points.
According to the NRCC poll taken 18 months later a generic Republican leads a Democrat by four points, a nearly 10-point flip from the 2020 results.
In a polling memo accompanying the results the NRCC outlines just how badly Joe Biden’s political standing deteriorated.
The NRCC polling memo read:
– Joe Biden’s job approval is 15 points underwater, with only 40% of voters in these key districts approving of the job President Biden is doing, while 55% disapprove.
– There is a massive disparity between voters who strongly disapprove (45%) and voters who strongly approve (17%) of President Biden’s performance.
– Biden’s approval rating among Independent voters has eroded by a net -34 points since February, 2021. Only 30% of Independents approve of the job that President Biden is doing while sixtytwo percent (62%) disapprove.
– Biden’s approval rating is –10 with Hispanic voters, a drop of 31 points since February 2021.
The top issue for voters at 26 percent is inflation and the cost of living.
Among those voters, the NRCC poll found Republicans hold a 24-point lead.
The NRCC poll also found swing-district voters overwhelmingly blame Joe Biden and his socialist spending binge for the surge in inflation.
“52% of battleground voters blame high gas prices on the Biden Administration and Congressional Democrats’ unwillingness to allow more oil and gas production in the United States, compared to only 31% who blame the war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russian oil and gas,” the NRCC polling memo read.
Joe Biden’s line that record-high gas prices were the result of “Putin’s price hike” fell flat with voters.
Despite corporate media outlets helping Biden gaslight the American people, voters understand that Joe Biden’s Green New Deal-style agenda to choke off domestic energy production is the culprit.
Voters also understand that inflation began when Joe Biden took office as Biden began pumping trillions of newly printed dollars into the system and devaluing the currency.
Republicans only need to flip five seats to win control of the House of Representatives and fire Nancy Pelosi as speaker.
This polling memo suggests that not only is that five seat gain well within range, but that Republicans are on the cusp of scoring a victory of such magnitude that they could enjoy their largest majority ever in the House of Representatives in 2023.
