Joe Biden is making America look bad on the international stage.
It’s so bad that foreign leaders are openly insulting him.
A hot mic caught a comment that made Joe Biden go red with embarrassment.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol had a profane reaction to President Joe Biden’s speech which was caught on hot mic.
The background for the remark was that “Following a photo-op with President Joe Biden at an event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was caught on a hot mic criticizing Congress after President Joe Biden had pledged $6 billion to the Global Fund — an international organization that invests in efforts to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria,” according to Politico.
“How could Biden not lose damn face if these f—ers do not pass it in Congress?” Yoon asked his aides on a hot mic Wednesday, according to the South China Morning Post.
“He wasn’t speaking publicly on the stage but in passing, and although I don’t know who recorded it and how, I actually think it should be verified,” a South Korean official told reporters afterward, according to Yonhap.
“I think it’s highly inappropriate to draw a link between private remarks and diplomatic accomplishments,” the official added, referring to criticism that Yoon had created a diplomatic disaster. “It’s quite regrettable that a diplomatic disaster is being talked about over something like that when he is doing everything to complete a demanding schedule in the national interest of the Republic of Korea.”
Park Hong-keun, leader of the opposition Democratic Party, said Yoon’s language was “foul” and “tarnishing the US Congress caused a major diplomatic mishap,” according to South China Morning Post.
Biden bragged about his foreign policy knowledge many times in the past.
He slammed Obama for his “lack of background” on foreign policy, boasting that he himself was more knowledgeable, telling NPR “Morning Edition” host Rachel Martin in December 2019, “Name me somebody who’s going to be able to stand on the world stage and immediately command the respect of everyone in the world. Our enemies as well as our adversaries — as well as our allies. I know all these people. This is the only reason why I’m running this time is because of my experience.”
“Well,” Martin said, “Barack Obama was able to do it, and he didn’t have very much experience at all.”
Biden replied, “No, that’s not true. Think about it. That’s not true. What happened was one of the reasons Barack Obama picked me as vice president is because he lacked the background in foreign policy — he’s a brilliant guy. He knew what he wanted to do. He knew how to get it done. But notice, every time we had a problem on Capitol Hill, who went up and got it fixed? Answer the question. Who went up and got it fixed? See you’re not, you know the truth.”
