Donald Trump and the FBI waged a vital courtroom battle.
In the end, a clear victor emerged.
And a judge gave Donald Trump a win over the FBI that left him grinning from ear to ear.
Judge Aileen Cannon ruled in favor of Donald Trump and appointed a special master to dig through the documents the FBI seized from the Mar-a-Lago siege to sort out anything covered by executive or attorney-client privilege.
Judge Cannon ruled that waiting for a special master’s ruling – which must be completed by November 30 – would impact the Department of Justice’s criminal investigation.
“The Court does not find it appropriate to accept the Government’s conclusions on these important and disputed issues without further review by a neutral third party in an expedited and orderly fashion,” Judge Cannon wrote.
“The Government’s submissions, read collectively, do not firmly maintain that the described processes are inextricably intertwined, and instead rely heavily on hypothetical scenarios and generalized explanations that do not establish irreparable injury,” Judge Cannon added.
Judge Cannon also stated that the order did not prevent the government from going through the motions to tell if the documents Trump had at Mar-a-Lago actually threatened national security, which is highly unlikely.
“To the extent that the Security Assessments truly are, in fact, inextricable from criminal investigative use of the seized materials, the Court makes clear that the September 5 Order does not enjoin the Government from taking actions necessary for the Security Assessments,” Judge Cannon stated.
But Judge Cannon’s ruling was a crushing defeat for the Biden administration on several fronts.
First, Judge Cannon noted that the government could not prove there was any imminent threat of Trump disclosing classified information.
Instead, Judge Cannon blasted the government by pointing out that the only disclosures of supposedly classified information came from FBI and Justice Department leaks to their allies in the corporate media.
“There has been no actual suggestion by the Government of any identifiable emergency or imminent disclosure of classified information arising from Plaintiff’s allegedly unlawful retention of the seized property,” Cannon ruled. “Instead, and unfortunately, the unwarranted disclosures that float in the background have been leaks to the media after the underlying seizure.”
Judge Cannon also dropped a bombshell that she found it difficult to believe the Biden administration’s claims.

This ruling was huge on several fronts.
First, it established that Trump raised legitimate questions and arguments about his ability to assert executive privilege.
Second, Judge Cannon expressed a healthy dose of skepticism that the government accurately described the documents Trump possessed as classified and threats to national security.
After six years of the FBI lying about Trump and trying to frame him for nonexistent crimes, only diehard, Trump-hating liberals accept the word of “sources familiar with the investigation” or Deep State agents claiming Trump broke the law.
This ruling also showed that the foundations of the government’s case are bunk and that the FBI tainted the investigation by gaining access to privileged communications that the government never should have been able to look at.
