Joe Biden’s trying to push the Supreme Court to the left.
Now all hell is breaking loose.
And this Republican senator destroyed Joe Biden’s Supreme Court pick with one question.
Ketanji Brown Jackson is facing intense scrutiny for her past rulings as a judge showing leniency to child pornographers and pedophiles.
Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley cited seven cases where Ketanji Brown Jackson handed down far less severe sentences for child pornographers and sex offenders.
Senator Hawley grilled Jackson about one case where Judge Jackson expressed sympathy for a convicted sex offender and apologized for the anguish the sex offender’s family must have felt.
This was maybe Josh @HawleyMO‘s strongest point in his back-and-forth with KBJ over sentencing of child sex predators — he read from a sentencing in which she said she “feel[s] so sorry for” the perp’s family “and for you and for the anguish this has caused all of you.” pic.twitter.com/oL9CfxeJ6u

An exasperated Hawley demanded to know if Jackson actually thought the child pornographer was the victim in this case.
Senator Hawley then pressed Jackson on one case where she sentenced an 18-year-old sex offender to just three months in prison after prosecutors requested a two-year prison sentence after alleging the 18-year-old possessed hundreds of videos and images of children as young as eight.
“Senator, again, don’t have the entire record,” Jackson stated. “I remember in that particular case, I considered it to be unusual, in part for the reasons that I described. I remember in that case that defense counsel was arguing for probation, in part because he argued that here we had a very young man who just graduated from high school. He presented all of his diplomas and certificates and the things that he had done and argued, consistent with what I was seeing in the record, that this particular defendant had gotten into this in a way that was, I thought, inconsistent with some of the other cases that I had seen.”
Hawley slammed Jackson for referring to an 18-year-old in possession of child pornography as the “peers” of his eight-year-old victim.
“To me to take a guy who’s 18 years old, who has what the government says is an extremely large collection of prepubescent pornography, eight-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 11-year-olds, we’re talking about, I mean, gobs of hours of time here that he has,” Hawley added. “And you say to him, what you say well it was just a collection. I mean, he was just viewing it and it was, you know, essentially they were his peers. You say to him that he’s not a pedophile. I don’t know how you know that. I don’t know why that’s relevant to the guidelines. But maybe it is. You say he’s not a pedophile. You say that you’re very sorry for him. And what he suffered. And then you give him three months when, frankly, a liberal prosecutor is asking for two full years.”
So-called “fact checkers” claimed Hawley’s attacks were “misleading” and “missing context.”
When so-called “fact checkers” write that Republican attacks are “misleading” or “missing context” what they really mean is Republicans refuse to accept Democrat Party talking points as facts.
So-called “fact checkers” are all left-wing partisan activists that operate a scam whereby they launder the Democrats’ narrative into “objective truth” by falsely claiming to be neutral arbiters of facts.
And in this case, the truth of Ketanji Brown Jackson repeatedly issuing sentences to child pornographers below federal guidelines.
