Trump has gained an army of enemies.
Many are within his own party.
And a RINO senator is about to betray him in the worst way possible.
A RINO Announces His Betrayal
With Trump’s Supreme Court nominee close to confirmation, the left threw a monkey wrench to stop it.
A decades-old sex scandal against Judge Brett Kavanaugh is making waves.
The accuser pushing it is a known left-wing activist with no proof of her claim.
Despite that, the media is having a field day.
They are hoping to use it to shut down his confirmation, dealing a major blow to President Trump.
If Republicans stand together, that will not happen.
But already, the most anti-Trump Republican in the Senate is making that difficult.
Jeff Flake, the soon-to-be former senator in Arizona is unsure if he will support Trump’s pick.
He is signaling that he may turn on him if Democrats can convince him the accuser’s claims hold merit.
Flake is a necessary vote needed for confirmation.
His betrayal is upsetting to Trump supporters, but not surprising.
Flake’s Transition To A RINO
Since being elected Flake continually proves his namesake by flaking on conservatives.
His record is angering Republicans in his home state so bad that he isn’t even running for re-election.
So he doesn’t have anything to lose and is a loose cannon on this vital vote for President Trump.
But Flake hasn’t always been like this.
Prior to being in the Senate, Flake served in the House of Representatives.
During his time he consistently ranked as one of the most conservative members.
So when his campaign for Senate ramped into gear he had the support of countless conservatives.
It is the very conservative outsiders that elected him that he is now betraying.
With that context, his backing on Kavanaugh is even less surprising.
Why This RINO’s Betrayal Isn’t Surprising
Sen. Flake is known for backing off when the pressure gets hot.
He truly doesn’t stand with the president or anybody else who stands with him.
To prove this he sent a check to Doug Jones, the Democrat who beat Roy Moore in Alabama.
The unproven allegations against Moore were enough for him in that situation.
So the allegations against Kavanaugh are almost certainly going to be enough to justify his betrayal.
But if he does betray Trump, this could backfire in a bad way for him and the Democrats.
His Betrayal Backfiring
If Flake makes it impossible for Kavanaugh to be confirmed, it will likely lead towards bad news for him.
Trump chose Kavanaugh strategically.
He is seen as one of the more centrist picks compared to others on Trump’s list.
There are multiple possible picks with much stronger records on Trump’s issues.
If Kavanaugh is blocked, Trump could replace him with a nominee with a stronger record.
And if Republicans do well in the upcoming midterms between that time, the new pick will almost certainly breeze through confirmation.
So Democrats are playing a dangerous game.
