Nothing can end a career in politics quicker than a sex scandal.
One rising star may learn that lesson the hard way.
And a rumored sex scandal may bring down this big-name Republican.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was one considered a frontrunner for Donald Trump to name her as his running mate if Trump ran for president again in 2024.
If Trump did not run, Noem quickly became a grassroots favorite for rejecting Dr. Fauci’s freedom-stealing and job-killing lockdowns and mask mandates during the coronavirus pandemic.
But Noem’s star dimmed in recent months due to a series of policy missteps where Noem caved in to the corporate media and woke corporations to side with the radical left.
And the latest bombshell to drop appeared in American Greatness where journalist Pedro Gonzalez cited multiple sources alleging that Noem carried on an affair for the last several months with former Trump 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
“Multiple sources have informed American Greatness that South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is having an extramarital affair with adviser Corey Lewandowski, who previously served as a campaign manager for Donald Trump. The alleged fling reportedly has continued for months, sources say,” Gonzalez reported.
Noem and Lewandowski are both married and Noem strongly denied the allegations casting Gonzalez – who is a frequent guest on Tucker Carlson’s show – as sexist.
“These rumors are total garbage and a disgusting lie. These old, tired attacks on conservative women are based on a falsehood that we can’t achieve anything without a man’s help. I love Bryon. I’m proud of the God-fearing family we’ve raised together. Now I’m getting back to work,” Noem wrote on social media.
But in truth, Noem’s star began to dim long before these rumors surfaced.
Noem infuriated conservatives by vetoing a bill banning biological males from playing in girls’ sports.
Governor Noem folded in the face of pressure from woke corporations that threatened economic boycotts if Noem signed the legislation.
And then Noem killed any chance for a political comeback when she opposed legislation banning vaccine mandates.
Noem claimed if South Dakotans did not like businesses mandating they stick a needle in their arm or lose the right to feed their family they could just go find a new job.
It’s been widely reported that if Donald Trump runs for president again in 2024 Trump will look for a woman or black man to serve as his running mate.
Noem initially took a strong stand on rejecting Dr. Fauci’s dystopian shutdowns and anti-liberty ineffective mask mandates.
The story in American Greatness may be false.
But even if that is the case it won’t erase the fact that Noem was afraid to stand and fight on two policy battles – vaccine mandates and the radical transgender agenda – that are high up on the list of priorities for conservatives.
