It’s another crippling setback for the left.
And one top Democrat just destroyed Joe Biden with this unexpected confession.
As the Omicron variant causes mild colds across the country the corporate media continually plays up the panic porn to scare Americans.
But Democrats facing the voters next year are caught between a rock and a hard place.
Elected Democrats understand their base is comprised largely of “Karens” that wear two masks, took three vaccine shots and love to shame anyone that doesn’t believe in the COVID apocalypse.
Democrats also know the real reason Joe Biden’s poll numbers plummeted this summer was because Biden caved in to public health dictators and reimposed mask mandates after initially declaring July 4 was America’s Independence Day from coronavirus.
Democrat officials facing the voters next year are making it clear they are looking to put as much distance as possible between themselves and Joe Biden’s permanent pandemic security state.
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont is running for re-election in a traditionally blue state.
Democrats win Connecticut in a romp so routinely that one of the state’s senators thought nothing of accepting a public endorsement from a communist group.
And even Ned Lamont wants to show he is nothing like Joe Biden and wants no part of moving backwards on COVID mandates.
A reporter asked Lamont if he would reimpose the state’s mask mandate following a spike in coronavirus cases.
In a stunning turn, Lamont mocked the idea of mask mandates noting how New York City set case records in spite of the city once again mandating masks indoors.
“Well it’s not curbing the spike down in New York City, which is probably ground zero,” Lamont shot back. “If I think about things, I certainly think about nursing homes and other congregate settings where I think the booster shot is probably the number one priority, to make sure everybody that can be boosted is boosted there. That would be my next priority.”
Cases in New York City rose 600 percent the last two weeks while hospitalizations shot up 73 percent.
This was a far cry from what Joe Biden posted on social media where Biden demanded even vaccinated Americans wear masks.
“I know folks are worried about Omicron and wondering how they can stay safe. The answer is simple: Get your booster shot, get vaccinated, and wear a mask,” Biden wrote on social media.
No one would ever confuse Ned Lamont for a member of “Team Reality” – those Americans that understand COVID will spread and that all the public health interventions such as lockdowns, mask and vaccine mandates failed to slow the spread of the virus.
But Ned Lamont – like all elected officials – is a certified member of “Team Political Reality” and Lamont understands that further COVID mandates and restrictions are setting Democrats up for a landslide defeat in 2022.
And even though Lamont is running for re-election in a solid blue state, the poisonous political environment Joe Biden created left Lamont running scared in his re-election bid.
