All hell broke loose on Sean Hannity’s show.
It was like nothing anyone had ever seen.
This top Fox News star said something horrible to Rush Limbaugh’s replacement.
On Sean Hannity’s program,Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera and former Secret Service agent and Rush Limbaugh’s replacement Dan Bongino engaged in a heated debate over a police officer in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota accidentally shooting Daunte Wright after Wright struggled with police at a traffic stop.
Rivera attacked the officer’s competence for admitting she mistakenly grabbed her firearm instead of her taser and shot Wright.
Dan Bongino was not happy about this and called Rivera’s comments ‘stupid.’
“I don’t even know how to respond to that. Give me a second to digest the stupidity of that,” Bongino responded.
That incensed Rivera who accused Bongino of being a name-caller.
Rivera then attacked Bongino by calling him names.
“How about responding with facts?” Rivera raged. “You’re nothing but a name-caller! You’re a cheap shot artist!”
Bongino shot back dismissing Rivera as having no standing to criticize police officers since Rivera never served one second in law enforcement.
“There’s a big difference between reporting on a baseball game and playing it, Geraldo. You’ve never worn a badge, period. Not interested in your reporting on it, because reporters deal with facts, and you brought the race card into it the other night when we had this debate, despite having no facts to back that up,” Bongino retorted.
Rivera claimed that police officers were more likely to shoot black Americans which represented a systemic problem in American law enforcement.
“Blacks are twice as likely to be shot by cops as whites,” Rivera stated, and then shot back asking, “How about that fact?”
Bongino responded by citing a Harvard study that came out in 2016 that showed there was no racial bias present in police shootings.
“They did an actual study on police contacts and found no systemic racism,” Bongino responded.
Rivera continued ranting and took a shot at Bongino’s time in law enforcement claiming it was nothing more than a cup of coffee.
“I know more than you! What do you know?” Rivera fumed. “What, did you have a ten-minute career as a cop? You’ve been running for office for the last 20 years.”
Bongino again rejected the false claim that police officers were gangs of bigots searching the streets for innocent black men to kill just for fun.
“If there was a plague of police officers hunting Black men down at night, then — I don’t understand, if that’s happening, where is the massive body count?” Bongino exclaimed.
Bongino had enough and accused Rivera of sympathizing with rioters and insurrectionists that wanted to see the country burn.
That comment lit Rivera’s fuse and he launched into a profane tirade personally insulting Bongino.
“I want to see the country burn?! You son of a bitch! I want to see the country burn, you punk?! You’re nothing but a punk!”
