Adam Schiff was at the center of the multiple failed coup attempts against President Trump.
Now Schiff looks like he is on his way out of the House of Representatives.
And Adam Schiff just dropped this huge retirement bombshell.
Joe Biden is not the only octogenarian Democrats rumored to be in the early onset of dementia.
Liberals began speculating for several years that 89-year-old California Senator Dianne Feinstein suffers from serious cognitive decline.
“Really, for the last couple of years, I’ve been hearing that Dianne Feinstein has been struggling, particularly with short-term memory issues, so that her staff will brief her and then she’ll forget what she’s been told or that she’s been briefed at all,” left-wing activist Jane Mayer told National Public Radio back in 2020.
It is universally accepted that Feinstein will not seek re-election in 2024 and that every ambitious Democrat in California will look to enter the race knowing that if they win they can hold a Senate seat for decades and perhaps even launch a presidential campaign.
KTTA’s “The Issue Is” anchor Elex Michaelson asked Congressman Adam Schiff if Schiff would run for Senate if Feinstein announced her retirement.
“It is widely expected that California Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is 89, will retire at the end of her term. You have expressed interest in that job. Is there any reason you would not run for Senate?” Michaelson pressed.
Schiff revealed that Democrats were encouraging him to run for Senate in the event that Feinstein retired.
And in an uncharacteristic move for a politician, Schiff openly admitted he was interested in running for higher office.
“Well, I’m not usually asked the question in that form. You know, look, I am getting a lot of encouragement to run for the Senate from people in California and colleagues here in Congress. If Senator Feinstein retires, then I will give it very serious consideration. You know, at this point, I think we’re waiting to see what Senator Feinstein has to say about her plans, but yes, it is something I’m giving serious consideration to,” Schiff answered.
When Adam Schiff thrust himself into the center of the Russian collusion hoax some in Washington speculated that Schiff wanted to raise his profile in order to succeed Nancy Pelosi as the Democrat leader in the House.
When Gavin Newsom appointed Alex Padilla to replace Kamala Harris in the Senate there was speculation that Schiff could seek the attorney general’s office.
But now it looks like Schiff has settled on running for the Senate.
That is sure to be a crowded race as California’s jungle primary rules put all candidates regardless of party affiliation in the primary with the top two vote-getters advancing to the general election.
But to enter that Senate race Schiff will have to resign his House seat.
