Adam Schiff and the rest of the Democrats were stunned by the latest development in their impeachment witch hunt.
Democrats were counting on their secret process allowing them to railroad President Trump.
And Adam Schiff’s world fell apart when this smoking gun surfaced.
The latest so-called “bombshell” promoted by the fake and corrupt news media was European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland revising his testimony to claim supposed knowledge of a quid pro quo.
“I now recall speaking individually with Mr. (Andriy) Yermak, where I said resumption of U.S. aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anti-corruption statement that we had been discussing for many weeks,” Sondland claimed.
The problem is the fake and corrupt news media ignored what Sondland claimed in the previous paragraph.
Even in his “amended” testimony, Sondland admitted he had no idea why the aid was suspended and it was just a guess that it was over linking it to investigations into the Bidens.
“With respect to the September 1, 2019 Warsaw meeting, the conversation described in Ambassador Taylor and Mr. Morrison’s opening statements have refreshed my recollection about conversations involving the suspension of U.S. aid, which had become public only days earlier,” Sondland began.
Sondland then began to let the air out of the impeachment balloon by confessing that he had no direct knowledge of why the Trump administration withheld the military aid and all he could go on was his ‘best guess.’
“…I do not know (and still do not know) when, why or by whom the aid was suspended. However, by the beginning of September 2019, and in the absence of any credible explanation for the suspension of the aid, I presumed that the aid suspension had become linked to the proposed anti-corruption statement.”
The fake and corrupt news media ignored that crucial portion of Sondland’s testimony.
So-called “journalists” long ago stopped being neutral arbiters in the Trump Presidency.
Instead of just reporting the truth and letting the chips fall where they may, fake and corrupt news “reporters” are scheming to push impeachment over the finish line.
Fake news CNN’s Jake Tapper was a prime example of a so-called reporter trying to shape events rather than report them.
His show “The Lead” featured a blatantly misleading graphic plastered on the screen falsely claiming Sondland “admitted” to a quid pro quo.
Sondland admitted to no such thing.
The only thing Sondland admitted to was guessing as to why the Trump administration withheld military aid to Ukraine.
North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows called out the fake and corrupt news media for their blatant lies and misinformation campaign.
“Seeing many overblown (and outright false) reports about Ambassador Sondland’s testimony. Here’s what he actually said. 1. I did not (and still don’t) know why aid was held up 2. I “PRESUMED” it was because of corruption 3. I told Yermak my assumption.” Meadows continued, “Democrats and the media are seizing on paragraph five of Sondland’s update, where he tells Mr. Yermak the aid may not be released without an anti-corruption statement. Even *if* you think this is nefarious… Sondland admits in paragraph FOUR this was based on an assumption!”
The phony Ukraine scandal is a replay of the Russian collusion hoax.
Fake and corrupt news outlets would trumpet “bombshell” developments which were sure to lead to Donald Trump’s political demise.
However, these supposed “game-changing” developments collapsed under even the slightest bit of scrutiny and were revealed to be Democrat hoaxes ginned up to drive a false narrative that Donald Trump was a corrupt criminal about to be removed from office at any moment.
