Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech set the stage for a 2020 contrast with the Democrats.
Given those high stakes, no one could believe how the Democrats – led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – acted.
And the stunt Ocasio-Cortez pulled at the State of the Union will leave you speechless.
Democrats played right into Trump’s hands.
President Trump wanted to use the State of the Union to express a message of optimism and cooperation.
“The agenda I will lay out this evening is not a Republican agenda or Democrat agenda, it is the agenda of the American people. Many of us have campaigned on the same core promises, to defend American jobs and demand fair trade for American workers, to rebuild and revitalize our nation’s infrastructure, to reduce the price of health care and prescription drugs, to create an immigration system that is safe, lawful, modern and secure, and to pursue a foreign policy that puts America’s interests first,” the President began.
But it became clear that Democrats had no interest in accepting President Trump’s olive branch.
At one point during his speech, President Trump acknowledged First Lady Melania Trump.
Ocasio-Cortez – as well as many other Democrats – refused to stand up and applaud the President’s wife.
In addition, Ocasio-Cortez made a spectacle of herself with her attire and guest.
Ocasio-Cortez, Pelosi and other female Democrats in Congress wore white to pay tribute to the suffragette movement – the early 1900s movement among women to ratify a Constitutional amendment that gave them the right to vote.
This sent the message that Democrats want to make gender and identity politics central to the 2020 Presidential campaign.
Finally, there was the matter of Ocasio-Cortez’s guest.
The freshmen Democrat brought Ana Maria Archila to the speech.
Archila was the Soros-funded activist who screamed at Arizona RINO Jeff Flake in a Senate elevator after he had declared he would vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Ocasio-Cortez announced the move on Twitter.
“This @AnaMariaArchil2, the NY-14 hero that will be accompanying me to the State of the Union tomorrow. She wasn’t planning on leaping into that elevator ahead of the Kavanaugh vote, but after hearing the stories of survivors across the country, she went in. A defining moment.”
After Archila berated Flake, the Never-Trump traitor announced he would withhold his vote until the FBI completed a one-week supplemental background check to investigate the fake news sexual assault allegations made against Kavanaugh.
Archila appeared on MSNBC after the State of the Union and leaned into the Democrats 100 percent resistance to Trump.
She claimed the Supreme Court was illegitimate because of the Republicans confirming Kavanaugh and not folding to the hoax accusations of sexual assault.
Democrats are not willing to meet Trump half way and work on behalf of the American people.
The next two years is going to be a political blood sport as unhinged Democrats use every weapon at their disposal to remove the President of the United States.
