Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her squad are now the faces of the Democrat Party.
Their response to President Trump’s tweets made sure the 2020 election will be a referendum on their anti-American beliefs.
That became clear when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stood before the cameras and saw her world crumble.
President Trump’s tweets telling Ocasio-Cortez and her allies to try their socialist policies in another country to test their effectiveness before destroying America enraged the freshmen Democrats and their media enablers.
That was like waving a red cape in front of a bull.
Despite public polling showing Ocasio-Cortez and her allies were deeply unpopular, the four freshmen Democrats could not help but make a spectacle of themselves.
The fake news media egged them on as well.
So-called “reporters” loved the optics of four minority women – two of whom are Muslim – challenging a 73-year-old white Republican President.
This was the super bowl of identity politics for the fake news media.
Basking in the adulation of the press, Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of her “squad” held a press conference to address the President’s attacks.
It was a disaster.
Ilhan Omar refused to condemn Al Qaeda – which perpetrated the 9/11 terror attacks – despite spending days casting herself as the real-life version of Captain America.
“And so I will not dignify it with an answer, because I know that every single Islamaphobe, every single person who is hateful, who is driven by an ideology of other-ing as this president is, rejoices in us responding to that,” Omar whined.
Omar also falsely accused the President of caging children and forcing illegal aliens to drink water out of toilets at detention facilities.
“Right now the president is committing human rights abuses at the border, keeping children in cages, and having human beings drinking out of toilets,” Omar ranted. “This president, who has been credibly accused of committing multiple crimes, including colluding with foreign government to interfere with our election.”
Ayanna Pressley rudely referred to President Trump as “the occupant.”
“I will always refer to him [Trump] as the occupant as he is only occupying space,” Pressley hysterically roared. “He does not embody the grace, the empathy, the compassion, the integrity that that office requires and that the American people deserve.”
Finally, Ocasio-Cortez claimed the “Squad” would not get distracted by Trump’s taunts.
“And so we’ll stay focused on our agenda, and we won’t get caught slippin’, because all of this is a distraction,” Ocasio-Cortez exclaimed. “It’s a distraction from what’s most important and from our core values as American citizens.”
But they failed to realize that their response to President Trump was the distraction.
Donald Trump doesn’t want to run against the eventual Democrat nominee in 2020.
He wants to run against Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.
And by staging this press conference the “Squad” played right into his hands.
