Democrats knew they had one chance left to save Joe Biden’s presidency.
Just eight months into his term, Biden found himself on the political brink.
But now all hell broke loose when Joe Biden got a nasty surprise that devastated Democrats.
Joe Biden’s sinking approval ratings have Democrats nervous.
The Real Clear Politics polling average showed just 45 percent of Americans approved of Joe Biden compared to 49 percent that disapproved.
But it wasn’t just Joe Biden’s incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan which led to the deaths of 13 U.S. troops and stranded hundreds – and possibly more – American citizens in Taliban-controlled territory that tanked Biden’s numbers.
Biden’s failure to reopen the economy and sticking with COVID restrictions created a jobs crisis when the August report missed expectations by 500,000 jobs created.
The Democrats’ trillion-dollar spending binge added to inflationary pressures that gobbled up Americans’ paychecks.
And Biden’s open borders policies created a border crisis where a record number of illegal aliens poured over the border.
Biden spoke at the White House and tried to gaslight Americans into thinking that 235,000 new jobs created in August – when the projections called for 740,000 – represented a success.
“The Biden plan is working. We’re getting results. America is on the move again,” Biden claimed.
Much like the Afghanistan withdrawal, Biden tried to tell Americans the failure they watch playing out with their own two eyes was really a historic achievement.
“Because of the groundwork we laid with the American Rescue Plan and our vaccination strategy, we’re seeing an economy and job market that can weather the ups and downs of the Delta variant and anything else that comes our way,” Biden added.
Biden falsely claimed America was in an economic free fall when he took office.
“The measures we’ve taken so far have brought America out of an economic free fall, steadied us and enabled us to grow our economy even as we continue to combat Covid. We are adding jobs, not losing them,” Biden added.
In fact, beginning in May when the lockdowns ended, the economy added jobs in eight out of nine months while the unemployment fell to 6.3 percent.
And just like in Afghanistan, Biden blamed Donald Trump for his failures on the economy.
“There have been so many records the stock market has hit under my presidency,” Biden added. “Imagine if the other guy was here: ‘We’re doing great. It’s wonderful. The stock market is surging. It’s gone up higher with me than anybody.’ But that doesn’t mean that it’s the best for the economy.”
Joe Biden and the Democrats banked on an economic boom to paper over the failures to control crime, inflation, and illegal immigration.
The disaster in Afghanistan only heightened the political danger for Biden and his party.
And now that Joe Biden won’t give up on the permanent pandemic of vaccines and mask mandates, Biden is shooting himself in the foot by destroying any chances of an economic rebound by shackling businesses with COVID restrictions.
