The 2020 election keeps finding a new way to surprise Americans.
In the final weeks of the campaign, Democrats are dealing with a campaign in crisis due to sex.
Now another woman alleged an affair in a scandal that rocked Chuck Schumer’s world.
North Carolina Democrat Cal Cunningham is under fire after text messages alleged an affair between Cunningham and medical marijuana lobbyist Arlene Guzman Todd, who is the wife of a veteran.
Cunningham pointedly refused to answer questions about if other women would come forward and allege affairs with Cunningham.
It’s now clear why Cunningham dodged that question as the National File exclusively reported allegations that Anne Teicher is the second woman claiming an affair with Cunningham as evidenced by social media posts.
The National File reports:
Multiple sources have told National File Anne Gregory Teicher is the second mistress of Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate Cal Cunningham.
The multiple sources, who confirmed that Anne Teicher personally confirmed to them that she had had an affair with Cal Cunningham, are well placed within North Carolina political circles in Raleigh, but do not work in partisan politics.
National File has also uncovered a substantial cache of social media posts and activity that seem to confirm the multiple claims that Anne Gregory Teicher is indeed Cal Cunningham’s second mistress.
Cunningham based his candidacy on the themes of “honor” and “integrity.”
North Carolina voters are now asking themselves if that was a lie.
To make matters worse for Cunningham and the Democrats, the Army Reserve announced it would investigate if Cunningham carried on these affairs while he was on official duty.
Polls show Cunningham’s favorability ratings tumbling as his race with North Carolina Republican incumbent Thom Tillis tightens to a pure tossup.
The North Carolina Senate race is everything for both parties.
If Democrats flip the seat, there is a strong possibility that they will win a majority in the Senate.
But if Republicans hold the seat, Democrats’ path to a majority narrows considerably.
That’s because all available polling data shows Republican challenger Tommy Tuberville leading Democrat incumbent Doug Jones in Alabama.
Republicans received an unexpected boost when polls show challenger John James – a charismatic 39-year-old West Point graduate – closing the polling gap with Michigan Democrat Senator Gary Peters.
If Republicans flip two Democrat seats and hold Tillis’ seat in North Carolina then Republicans are locked to keep their Senate majority.
Whichever party controls the Senate next year will prove pivotal.
If Donald Trump wins re-election and Republicans hold the Senate, they can continue to confirm the President’s conservative judicial nominees.
But if Democrats win the Senate and Joe Biden takes the Presidency, then Chuck Schumer can eliminate the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, grant statehood to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico and create ten to twenty million new Democrat voters through a massive amnesty program for illegal aliens.
