Jeff Flake continues to fight Donald Trump’s agenda.
He gave one interview where he made jaw dropping comments about Trump’s proposed border wall.
And he uttered seven words that were the final nail in the coffin for his political career.
Arizona’s Jeff Flake continues to play to the cheers of the liberal media.
He gave an interview on CNN where he sold out the GOP by flatly stating that if Trump meant a wall would secure the border “then no, nobody ought to support that.”
The Daily Caller reports:
“Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona disparaged President Donald Trump’s promise to erect a physical border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, arguing “nobody ought to support” the idea.
“Obviously all of us believe in border security. It depends what he means by the wall and we still really haven’t seen what he means by the wall,” Flake said on CNN’s State of the Union. “If that’s a metaphor for border security we can support that but if he’s talking about a solitary, brick and mortar two thousand mile edifice on the border, then no, nobody ought to support that.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, Flake endorsed amnesty with no restrictions on immigration to grant amnesty to so-called illegal aliens in the wake of Trump’s decision to end Obama’s illegal DACA amnesty scheme.
Congress must act immediately to pass permanent, stand-alone legislation to lawfully ensure that children who were brought here… 4/5

DACA fix is doable. Sen passed DREAM Act as part of S. 744. I'm on three bills we could consider today – DREAM Act, BRIDGE Act & SAFE Act

Unfortunately for Flake, left-wing journalists don’t vote in GOP primaries.
Conservatives who want a secure border, an end to illegal immigration, and Republicans in Congress to pass Trump’s agenda – especially for the border wall – do turnout.
That’s why recent polls show Flake losing big league to pro-Trump challenger Dr. Kelli Ward.
One survey showed Ward routing Flake by 26 points.
Breitbart reports:
“Incumbent Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) is underwater badly in his home state, with just 21 percent of Arizona Republicans supporting him for reelection against challenger Dr. Kelli Ward—who gets 47 percent support—per a new poll from JMC Analytics.
The poll, provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release by JMC Analytics’ John Couvillon, shows Flake in almost irreparable shape ahead of his reelection bid in 2018. That an incumbent U.S. Senator like Flake could be polling as low as 21 percent in his own primary, while a challenger like Ward has pulled 26 points ahead of him at 47 percent, is almost unthinkable with nearly a full year to go until the August 2018 primary. Three percent of the electorate said they would vote for Nicholas Tutora, another candidate, and 29 percent are undecided, when asked which candidate they would vote for between Ward, Flake, and Tutora.
When asked if Flake should be renominated in 2018, an astounding 66 percent said that someone else should represent the Republican Party on the Senate ticket next year while just 22 percent said Flake should be renominated and 13 percent are undecided.”
Flake’s latest salvo against Trump’s border wall will only drive his numbers down further.
The only question left is if he will leave the party like Charlie Crist did in 2010 and mount an independent bid for Senate.
