Brett Kavanaugh faced one of the toughest confirmation processes of any Supreme Court nominee in history.
But now-Justice Kavanaugh will get the last laugh.
The same law firm that tried to take him down is now going after this rising star in the Democratic Party.
Virginia has had one of the craziest weeks in politics.
In what appears to be a rapidly unraveling scandal that has touched every member of the Democratic Party’s statewide bench, Virginia Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax is now under fire after being accused of sexually assaulting a staffer at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
Fairfax is considered by many to be a rising star within the Democratic Party.
But his political fortunes are now in doubt as Democrats in Virginia struggle with the most bizarre set of scandals to have ever unfolded, perhaps in any state in American history.
First, a Democratic State Delegate proposed legislation to legalize abortion up to birth.
After immense backlash, Democratic Governor Ralph Northam tried to defend the legislation, only to endorse child murder and infanticide on live radio.
His comments were eventually used by President Trump in the State of the Union Address to illustrate how radical the Democratic Party has moved on the question of abortion.
Then, all hell broke loose when a photo of Northam dressed in blackface emerged online.
Northam’s political standing took a nosedive almost overnight, as many predicted that Democratic Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax would soon take the helm in his place.
But now Fairfax is also embroiled in his own scandal.
And his accuser just hired the same law firm that represented Christine Ford during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.
Breitbart reports, “A woman accusing Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault has hired the law firm that represented Christine Blasey Ford, the California psychology professor who brought forth a decades-old and uncorroborated claim of sexual misconduct against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.”
To make matters worse for Fairfax, the allegations have only gotten worse.
NBC News reported on Wednesday that Fairfax held a closed-door meeting with advisors and staff to handle the scandal.
“NBC News has learned that Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax used profane language in a private meeting Monday night, while referring to his accuser, Dr. Vanessa Tyson.
Two sources tell us Fairfax said of Tyson: “F*** that B****,” reports NBC News.
Fairfax is now not only defending against allegations of sexual assault, but now sexism.
Fairfax is next in line should Northam resign from his own scandal.
It’s not clear how far the allegations will go, and whether it will end with Fairfax being forced to step down or not.
But a rising star in the Democratic Party is now on the verge of seeing his career go up in flames.
And with Governor Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring both facing their own scandals related to wearing blackface while in college, Democrats are in disarray.
Do you think Fairfax will be forced out of office?
