Joe Biden is in the middle of a crisis.
All hell is breaking loose as Democrats are beginning to worry about the future.
And Chuck Schumer is about to deliver five words of bad news that Joe Biden fears.
There is a crisis at the southern border.
Republican Congressman Mike McCaul warned that one million illegal aliens may enter the country via Joe Biden’s open borders policies by the summer.
And right now Joe Biden is holding more kids in cages than at any point in the Trump administration.
Even Democrats realize this spiraling calamity threatens their prospects in the 2022 midterms where the party is defending the slimmest of majorities.
Appearing on ABC’s “The View,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer admitted that he might have to tell Joe Biden “you’ve got to do better.”
“They are rolling up their sleeves and working on this. I think it will get better in the next few months,” Schumer added that, “If it doesn’t, I will go to them and say, ‘You’ve got to do better.’ I will be public.”
It’s no surprise that record numbers of illegal aliens are streaming across the southern border.
Even before Biden took office, his aides sent the message that the border was open.
“There’s help on the way, but now is not the time to make the journey,” a Biden official told NBC on January 17.
In March, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas preached his gospel of open borders and welcomed asylum seekers with no limit on the number that could try and cross over the border.
“I believe that asylum seekers, individuals who claim credible fear by reason of their membership in a particular social group, should have the opportunity to present those claims to the United States authorities, and they should be able to present those claims in an orderly, efficient, and safe way,” Mayorkas told NBC.
Even Biden’s border czar admitted that the mere fact of Biden taking office was a permission slip for illegal aliens to try and sneak into America.
“Surges tend to respond to hope, and there was significant hope for a more humane policy after four years of pent-up demand,” Jacobson said at a White House press briefing.
In 2014 a failed amnesty push combined with a surge of illegal alien children at the border sunk the Democrats’ electoral prospects.
Republicans won nine Senate seats to oust Harry Reid as Majority Leader and padded their margin in the House of Representatives.
Democrats have no margin for error as Republicans needs to flip just one seat in the Senate and five in the House to take back control.
And even Chuck Schumer knows the border crisis is a ticking time bomb that could blow up the Democrats’ unified control of Washington.
