When Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, the world was shocked.
Perhaps most shocked of all however, was Clinton herself.
She had spent months working to defeat Trump, and now the cat is out of the bag on her plot to destroy him.
Donald Trump was considered by many to be an underdog in the 2016 presidential election.
And after crushing 16 other Republican rivals for the nomination, and then stunning Hillary Clinton in the general election, President Trump shocked the world.
Almost no one believed he could defeat the Clinton machine, least of all Clinton herself.
Now, two years after the election, it’s clear why Clinton was so confident in victory.
Her campaign cheated and lied their way to November, believing the fake news conspiracies they were promoting would destroy Trump.
And after his upset victory, they did their best to sweep this plot against Trump under the rug.
But now, the cat is finally out of the bag.
The Washington Times reports, “The Clinton campaign’s operation to spread a now-debunked story on a Russian bank-Donald Trump computer linkage went further than previously known, according to new congressional testimony.”
Clinton campaign operatives even worked to get the Justice Department to buy the bogus conspiracy theory.
The overall story alleged that the Trump Organization possessed a secret computer server at Trump Tower, and that server was tied to a Moscow bank, linked to Vladimir Putin.
The only problem with the theory is that Trump’s server IP address was linked not to Moscow, but to Philadelphia.
To make matters worse, the conspiracy was pushed by Clinton-backed Fusion GPS, which hired ex-British spy Christopher Steele to compose a dossier of opposition material on Trump.
That same dossier became infamous for being used to justify the FBI’s surveillance of Trump campaign officials.
“Now, newly revealed testimony from James Baker, the former FBI general counsel and close adviser to fired FBI Director James B. Comey, shows that Fusion tried another avenue inside the Obama administration,” adds the Washington Times.
The Clinton plot to destroy Trump in the 2016 election is now unfolding in real-time, as new revelations about the work Clinton’s machine did to win the election are coming to light.
Clinton’s operation is also being targeted in more ways than one.
The owners of the Moscow Bank which was central to the fraudulent story are now suing Fusion GPS, for claiming in the Steele dossier that they paid bribes to Russian President Vladimir Putin. That same bank is also suing Steele himself in a court in London.
As for Hillary Clinton, her extensive operation to destroy Trump and use the power and influence of the federal government to spy on his advisors and undermine his campaign in the final weeks of the election is now blowing up in her face.
Clinton’s campaign abused federal surveillance powers to try and gain an unfair advantage over Trump in the 2016 election.
And now, bit by bit, the truth is being revealed.
