Colin Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since he started the anti-American national anthem protests.
But now he has a new contract.
And you aren’t going to believe who it is with.
Kaepernick – the disgraced 49ers quarterback whose declining play and anti-cop activism cost him being signed to a team – has signed a new one million dollar contract.
With a book company.
Fox News reports:
“Colin Kaepernick has signed a deal. It’s just not with an NFL team.
The free agent quarterback has reportedly inked a book deal worth just more than $1 million with Random House imprint One World. Further details on the book or the deal were not immediately available.
Kaepernick was reportedly taking meetings with publishers in New York City this week amid his struggles to get signed by an NFL team. Many have attributed NFL teams’ reluctance in signing him on his political activism and his protest of the national anthem.
Kaepernick started the trend of kneeling for the anthem last year when he played quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, in a protest against racial inequality and police brutality. This NFL season, other players and teams have continued to protest, which has been a major source of controversy for the league.
The issue was thrust back into the spotlight in September when President Donald Trump said NFL owners should fire any “son of a b****” who doesn’t respect the anthem and flag. He has gone on to call the demonstrations disrespectful and blamed them for the NFL’s lower ratings and attendance.”

Not much is known about Kaepernick’s book, but it is sure to be a left-wing screed where he rewrites history and turns himself into a martyr whose football career was ended by NFL owners in fear of knee jerk racism displayed by their fans.
Kaepernick will ignore the fact that his play declined, that he explicitly said he was protesting the flag, and that he wore socks that depicted cops as pigs to practice.
He will also surely erase from history the fact that he could have been signed by the Baltimore Ravens—except his girlfriend tweeted out a racist attack on the team’s owner.
But NFL fans got the last laugh.
Kaepernick’s protest kicked off a backlash that has led to empty stadiums and fewer fans watching the games every Sunday.
If Kaepernick were to be honest, his book would be about how he killed the NFL.
