A Deep State Leader Faces Prison
Former FBI Deputy Director
Andrew McCabe helped lead the Deep State.
He headed up the Clinton email probe.
After Trump won, critics believed he was one of the top leakers feeding the press bad stories about Trump.
McCabe’s leaking caught up with him.
Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz found McCabe lied four times to investigators.
Horowitz said McCabe lied about leaking a story to the media.
McCabe claimed James Comey gave him permission.
Comey said this was not true.
Horowitz said the DOJ should prosecute McCabe for this lie.
Jeff Sessions Makes His Move
Trump and his supporters lost faith in Sessions because he did not go after Deep State agents.
That led to Republicans putting out rumors that Trump would fire Sessions after the election.
Sessions looks like he is trying to save his job.
The Attorney General joined the lawsuit that could destroy Obamacare.
Sessions fired McCabe this spring.
Some Trump supporters did not think this went far enough.
They believed Sessions should have prosecuted McCabe.
Many Americans watched Robert Mueller charge Trump associates for lying to the FBI.
Horowitz accused McCabe of the same crime.
If Mueller jails Trump supporters while Sessions let McCabe walk free, millions of Americans will lose faith in the justice system.
They would view it as a tool of the powerful to exact revenge upon their enemies and protect their friends.
The DOJ granted their wish.
Prosecutors put together a grand jury in the McCabe case.
However, sometimes a grand jury does not lead to charges.
McCabe’s lawyer claimed this will be the case here.
He said he was “confident that, unless there is inappropriate pressure from high levels of the Administration, the U.S. attorney’s office will conclude that it should decline to prosecute.”
Donald Trump Steps Up
But Trump wants to see McCabe prosecuted.
He tweeted:

Trump was talking about McCabe’s wife’s 2015 run for office.
She received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a Super PAC linked to Hillary Clinton’s allies.
Trump and his supporters believe this played a role in the FBI’s decision not to charge Hillary Clinton.
McCabe denied this was the case.
However, it appears he will have to face the music for lying to the FBI.
Trump supporters cheered this decision.
They saw this move as a sign that the Deep State’s coup will not succeed.
