There may be no issue more important than the Supreme Court when it comes to the 2020 election.
The make-up of the court will decide which direction the country will move in.
And what a top Democrat said about the Supreme Court will terrify you.
While Republicans like President Donald Trump want Supreme Court Justices that interpret the Constitution the way the founders intended, Democrats want the opposite.
They want to use the Supreme Court like a weapon to force the country into the socialist disaster they desire more than anything.
That is why they are so furious at President Trump, who appointed two Justices who will never allow their unconstitutional proposals to become law.
So the Democrat candidates running for president are spending a lot of time talking about what they will do when it comes to their own nominees.
Pete Buttigieg made it clear that he wants more middle-of-the road nominees.
“My appointments will definitely be people who share my values. But when I’m talking about the structure of the Supreme Court, I’m talking about something deeper. I’m talking about depoliticizing the Supreme Court,” he said.
“Because right now, every time there’s a vacancy, there’s this apocalyptic ideological battle and it hurts the court and it hurts the country,” he continued.
Buttigieg then went on to state that Justices like Anthony Kennedy fit that mold.
While Kennedy was appointed by former President Ronald Reagan, he quickly shifted towards being a more liberal judge.
But he never made it as far-left as Justices like Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
So his response seems to be his attempt to center himself, instead of being as far-left as many Democrats in the race.
But while that is his strategy, some candidates are trying to be as far-left as they possibly can in order to court voters.
Nobody is doing that more than Bernie Sanders, who went so far as to advocate for voting rights to incarcerated criminals.
On Twitter, Sanders referenced Buttigieg’s quote and instead stated that he would go to the far-left when it comes to his nominees, citing Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor.
“Interesting, I’d like more justices like Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor,” Sanders tweeted.
Ginsburg and Sotomayor are nothing more than activist judges that made their way to the Supreme Court with the help of left-wing presidents.
They are in their positions so they can give the final green-light to whatever Democrats want to do.
And they are the reason that decisions like Roe vs. Wade remain in place.
With as many insane positions as Sanders has, he requires a Supreme Court that is just as insane as he is.
As long as President Trump continues to stay in office so he can continue to appoint his own nominees, Sanders will never have that.
That’s a big reason the 2020 election is so important to Democrats, and why they are trying to impeach Trump before they ever even need to face him.
