The left lost their collective minds after President Trump canceled Nancy Pelosi’s foreign trip in the middle of the shutdown.
Trump blindsided Pelosi so suddenly that Democrats are still reeling from it.
And now, one Democratic Senator wants to throw Trump in jail in retaliation.
Last week, the battle over the federal government shutdown took a turn for the worst.
Nancy Pelosi defied all decency when she broke historical custom by effectively disinviting President Trump from his own State of the Union address.
After telling Trump that he either needed to reschedule his annual speech or submit the address in writing, Pelosi walked away thinking she had dealt Trump a humiliating blow.
But President Trump is never the type of man to be bullied by the likes of Pelosi.
Shortly after Pelosi tried to cancel the State of the Union address, Trump one-upped her by informing the House Speaker that her planned 7-day trip to Europe and the Middle East had been canceled.
He sent the letter informing her that the trip had been canceled after Democrats had departed for their flight.
Democrats were furious.
Fuming with rage over Trump’s retaliation against what had originally been one of the pettiest political moves of all time when Pelosi tried to cancel the State of the Union, Democrats are now trying to find a way to get back at the President.
And Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) believes he knows just how.
The Democratic Senator is a powerful figure on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Warner has spent years attacking President Trump and he has now taken his hatred of the President to a new level.
Breitbart reports, “Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) accused President Donald Trump of breaking the law by revealing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) scheduled visit to Afghanistan in canceling House Democrats’ seven-day foreign trip.”
Senator Warner went a step further alleging that Trump had created a “security challenge” by delaying Pelosi’s trip and announcing it to the press.
Warner was even joined in by his fellow Democratic colleague, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine.
“I have been to Afghanistan on multiple occasions. It has never been announced that I’m going to Afghanistan. That never happens. Never… this guy is so unbelievably petty,” Kaine said.
Kaine was defeated for the vice presidency in 2016 when he and Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump.
It got worse in Warner’s eyes however.
Warner went so far as to argue that Trump broke all historical protocol, and even placed Speaker Pelosi’s life in danger by announcing the details of her trip.
Warner has long been trying to find ways to remove Trump from office, and even throw the man in jail.
He has been one of the most prominent critics of the President in the U.S. Senate, and his attacks on President Trump increasingly reek of desperation.
But with this latest charge that President Trump broke the law by telling Pelosi she can’t fly off to Europe and the Middle East in the middle of a shutdown is among the lowest of the lows.
