Keith Ellison’s Misconduct Scandal Explodes
Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison is the Deputy Chairman of the Democrat National Committee.
He is also the Democrat nominee for Attorney General in Minnesota.
His career took a turn for the worse just days before his primary election.
The son of one of his former girlfriends wrote a Facebook post describing how Ellison abused his mother.
Karen Monahan’s son wrote that he saw a video of Ellison dragging his mother off a bed by her feet.
He also wrote that he read hundreds of text messages Ellison had sent to his mother.
Monahan’s son claimed Ellison wrote angry and threatening messages.
Karen Monahan said everything her son wrote was true.
Ellison denied the charges.
The Scandal Gets Worse
Ellison’s scandal exposes the Democrats’ double-standards.
They used Christine Ford’s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh from 36 years ago to try and stop his confirmation.
But Ellison was credibly accused of domestic violence and liberals are sweeping his scandal under the rug.
Monahan tweeted that the Democrats ignored Ellison’s abuse.
She said she provided evidence to back up her claims.
Monahan wrote:
No, they don’t. I’ve been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party. I provided medical records from 2017, stating on two different Dr. Visits, I told them about the abuse and who did it. My therapist released records stating I have been dealing and healing from the abuse
Four people, including my supervisor at the time, stated that I came to them after and shared the exact story I shared publicly, I shared multiple text between me and Keith, where I discuss the abuse with him and much more. As I said before, I knew I wouldn’t be believed.
Monahan also explained why she shared her story:
I didn’t break my silence for validation or any outcome. I did it for my own internal freedom and to stand w/ other survivors. I have nothing to prove to anyone, I simply shared my story. People can believe it or not. I don’t need anyone to affirm my humanity, I affirmed it.
The Media’s Double Standard On Display
Monahan’s story proves the media is fake news.
Journalists are not truth-seekers who follow the facts wherever they lead.
The press did not treat Monahan’s story as a national scandal.
The press did not ask Democrats if Ellison is fit for office.
They did not give the story around-the-clock coverage the way they would have if a woman accused a Republican of domestic violence.
Their actions in the Brett Kavanaugh story only emphasized this double standard.
The press treats an allegation from 36 years ago—where the woman has provided no evidence—as fact.
Journalists act this way because they believe Kavanaugh will cast the deciding vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Members of the media treat abortion like their religion.
And they will do anything to protect it, no matter who they have to smear.
