And now Donald Trump dropped one election ultimatum that left everyone speechless.
Donald Trump claims the 2020 election was rigged against him.
Social media censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story and Democrat judges and secretaries of state ignoring state constitutions to change mail-in voting laws tipped the playing field against President Trump.
Each day Donald Trump inches closer to a 2024 rematch with Joe Biden.
But Trump wants a level match-up where states can’t willy-nilly change voting laws to benefit Democrats.
To that end, Trump put a scare in the establishment when Trump released a statement claiming if Republicans did not fix what went wrong in 2020 then GOP voters would not show up in 2022 or 2024.
“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do,” Trump wrote.
Pundits, Never Trumpers and Democrats pounced on the comments claiming Trump told supporters that unless Republicans overturned the 2020 election, GOP voters should not turn out next year or in 2024.
There is no way to overturn the 2020 election.
Trump knows that.
But the corporate media is always eager to spin Trump’s words in the most negative light to hurt Republicans.
What Donald Trump meant by fixing what happened in 2020 was for GOP state legislatures to pass election integrity measures and rein in the Wild West atmosphere created by COVID that Democrats in key states used to illegally change voting rules to make it easier for anti-Trump voters to cast ballots.
Trump’s spokeswoman Liz Harrington said as much in a subsequent statement.
“President Trump did not say don’t vote. He pointed out the obvious consequence of not fixing fraud and holding those who broke laws accountable will be Republicans sitting out,” Harrington’s statement read. “If we don’t fix our elections, many voters will think their vote won’t count.”
The corporate media knows the political environment deteriorated for Democrats.
Runaway inflation, slow job growth, a crisis at the border and tyrannical vaccine mandates sent Joe Biden’s approval rating into the toilet.
If Republicans oust Democrats in next year’s midterm elections, it will end Biden’s ability to advance his agenda and create an enticing set of political circumstances for Donald Trump to enter the 2024 race.
Corporate media activists believe if they can twist Trump’s message and amplify the false claim that Trump wants GOP voters to stay home unless Republicans perform the impossible task of reinstating him to the presidency it could keep Democrats in power next year and keep Trump on the sidelines in 2024.
