Air Force veteran and Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt is the only person to directly die as a result of January 6.
The Capitol Hill police refuse to release the name of the officer that shot Babbitt.
And now Donald Trump said Chuck Schumer may know a secret about who shot Ashli Babbitt.
In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News, Donald Trump once again asked why Americans do not know the name of the officer that shot and killed Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol.
Trump pointed out that if a cop shot and killed a Black Lives Matter protestor it would be a national scandal, and everyone would know the cop’s name.
“Why are they keeping that secret? Who is the person that shot an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman? A military woman right in the head, and there’s no repercussions. If that were on the other side, it would be the biggest story in this country. Who shot Ashli Babbitt? People want to know, and why,” Trump told Bartiromo.
That led Bartiromo to ask Donald Trump if he had any information on who shot Ashli Babbitt since her death happened while Trump was still in office.
But at the end of Bartiromo’s question the Fox News host floated a rumor that a member of a security detail protecting a top Democrat actually shot Ashli Babbitt.
“Do you have any information [because] there is speculation that this was a security detail in a leading member of Congress’ security detail, a Democrat. What can you tell us in terms of who shot Ashli Babbitt? What do you know, Mr. President?” Bartiromo asked Trump.
Trump responded that he heard that speculation, and that the Capitol Hill police know who shot Babbitt, and that their identity would eventually come out.
“I’ve heard that,” Trump replied. “I will tell you they know who shot Ashli Babbitt. They’re protecting that person. I’ve heard also it was the head of security for a certain high official, a Democrat, and we’ll see, it’s gonna come out,” Trump responded.
Bartiromo then told Trump that her staff reached out to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to see if Schumer knew who shot Ashli Babbitt, but that Schumer had not responded with a comment.
“I want you to know that my team reached out to Senator Chuck Schumer’s office to check on what he may know about who shot Ashli Babbitt. We have not heard back from Chuck Schumer’s office…” Bartiromo began.
Trump interjected hinting that Schumer may know something which is why he did not respond to Bartiromo’s request for comment.
“I wonder why,” Trump responded.
Democrats recently voted to create a partisan farce of a select committee to investigate the events of January 6.
Many Americans would like to see a full report on who shot Ashli Babbitt included.
