The radical left is focusing on a new tactic to destroy the police.
They’ve got a manipulative strategy to get their way.
Donald Trump was stunned to hear what Black Lives Matter had to say about him.
According to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization, President Joe Biden is worse than President Donald Trump.
“Our communities are being terrorized at a greater rate than they had been under Trump,” the organization tweeted.
“Biden is currently sending more military equipment to our neighborhoods than Trump did. You read that right,” they claimed.
BLM was hoping that the Biden administration would stop “transfers” of military equipment to local communities within his first 100 days in office.
“Biden’s first 100 days are up in 10 days. By then we need him to #End1033 which transfers military equipment into the hands of police across the country– including school & campus police,” they tweeted.
The BLM website cites the 1033 Program, a Law Enforcement Support Office, which grants shifts of “surplus military-grade equipment to local law enforcement agencies across the country.” The main transfers the program makes are vehicles and aircraft. Less than 2% of the transfers are firearms.
The organization also felt that the “military” presence was another example of minorities being terrorized.
The city of Minneapolis estimated that the violent riots following the death of George Floyd in 2020 caused $55 million in destruction.
Protesters damaged or set fire to 220 buildings.
Property Claims Services assessed the damage caused during the BLM protests from May 26 to June 8 at $2 billion making it the costliest period of civil unrest in American history.
Since the BLM protests started, homicides increased by 36% across 28 major U.S. cities.
“De-policing in major cities after protests that called for abolition of police departments, shifts in police resources from neighborhoods to downtown areas because of those protests, and the release of criminal defendants pretrial or before sentences were completed to reduce risk of Covid-19 spread in jails — all may have contributed to the spike in homicides.” CNN reported.
BLM isn’t saving black lives with the changes that they are pushing for.
They care about George Floyd and his family, but what about the 7-year-old girl who was killed last Sunday afternoon while sitting inside a vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Chicago’s Homan Square neighborhood?
That child’s life mattered.
In 2019 former President Donald Trump said, “In my administration, we understand that reducing crime begins with respecting law enforcement. We will not tolerate smears, or slanders, or assaults on those who wear the badge and police our streets. In order to keep every American safe, we are making officer safety a top priority—unless you’d rather not have that.”
