Elon Musk responded to a Reuters article where a former executive falsely claimed Musk cutting back on censorship rules would make the platform unsafe by pointing out that it was Twitter’s biased and politically motivated censorship decisions that caused so many Americans to lose trust in the platform.
Musk admitted that Twitter regularly interfered in elections, but that would change on his watch.

When Americans think of Twitter working to rig elections the first example that comes to mind is the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Twitter censored the New York Post’s report about Biden family corruption in the final weeks of the 2020 election to swing the contest in Joe Biden’s direction.
But there are likely countless examples of Twitter tilting the playing field towards the Democrats by suppressing posts and limiting the reach of Republican candidates that the American people have no idea ever took place.
That’s why so many on the left were panicked over Musk’s promise to release all the internal documents and communications from Twitter on its censorship program.

Transparency might show exactly why this past summer Twitter locked the account for the grassroots group Moms for Liberty after the organization posted a tweet opposing the effort by many on the left to groom children into transgenderism.
Moms for Liberty was involved in school board races across the country fighting to elect candidates that opposed the left’s gender insanity.
Locking their account was a form of election interference.
“I think we have seen across the country that there is a coordinated effort to push transgender ideology on our kids. Moms for Liberty is calling it out, moms are calling it out. It is the truth that gender dysphoria is a mental disorder,” MFL co-founder Tiffany Justice said in an interview with The Daily Caller. “We are being censored for saying the truth.”
Twitter claimed it locked Moms for Liberty’s account because the tweet “[promotes] violence against, [threatens], or [harasses] other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”
Justice fired back calling that all a bunch of BS.
“The only people that the term ‘groomer’ is offending are groomers. Normal people are not offended because they are not doing it,” Justice declared.
If Elon Musk makes the Twitter censorship files public, Americans will see how Twitter employees hid behind the site’s terms of service to punish groups like Moms for Liberty in an effort to hurt the candidates they supported.
