Democrats were on the ropes.

The FBI got their hands on this bombshell letter which could hand Donald Trump the worst defeat of his life.
A Democrat Hands A Letter To The FBI
California Democrat Diane Feinstein rocked Washington.
She announced she had given a letter to the FBI.
An unknown woman wrote a letter and claimed that Judge Brett Kavanaugh engaged in sexual misconduct with her when they were in high school.
Feinstein got her hands on the letter over the summer.
But she waited until just before Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote to reveal it.
Feinstein put out a statement saying that the “individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”
Republicans Respond
The White House blasted Feinstein’s plot to defeat Kavanaugh.
Spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said it was the “11th-hour attempt to delay“
“Throughout his confirmation process, Judge Kavanaugh has had 65 meetings with senator — including with Senator Feinstein —sat through over 30 hours of testimony, addressed over 2,000 questions in a public setting and additional questions in a confidential session,” Kupec continued. “Not until the eve of his confirmation has Sen. Feinstein or anyone raised the specter of new ‘information’ about him.”
Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley also responded through a spokesman.
He said Grassley has no plans to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote.
“Senator Grassley is aware of Senator Feinstein’s referral,” said George Hartmann. “At this time, he has not seen the letter in question and is respecting the request for confidentiality. There’s no plan to change the committee’s consideration of Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination.”
Texas Senator John Cornyn raised doubts about Feinstein’s letter.
He said, “It’s a statement about a letter that nobody’s seen about a person that nobody’s named about a subject that is secret. I just think this all sounds like desperation to me.”
Democrats True Plan
Republicans have the votes to put Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
Democrats cannot stop them.
But Democrats can try to force a delay in the vote.
They think they will win the Senate in November.
There is no way the FBI can finish a probe between now and the election.
Democrats will argue that Kavanaugh cannot be confirmed until this is cleared up.
They hope by the time the FBI finishes, they will have the majority in the Senate.
They will then block Kavanaugh – and any other judge Trump chooses – for the rest of Trump’s time in office.
Democrats are focusing in on Maine Senator Susan Collins.
Collins is a pro-abortion RINO.
The left hopes the letter will scare her into saying she needs to see the results of the FBI probe before she votes.
If Collins holds back, Republicans do not have enough votes to confirm Kavanaugh.
However, there is little chance this works.
If the letter held serious allegations, the Democrats would not have held on to it for so long.
They would have leaked it over the summer when they first got it.
