Fox News Channel continues to undergo massive changes.
Trump supporters are not happy.
That’s because Fox News just fired a popular host for this disturbing reason.
“Outnumbered” co-host Melissa Francis has not been seen on Fox News Channel’s air since the first week in October.
And her time at Fox could be over for good.
The Los Angeles Times exclusively reported that “Melissa Francis, regularly seen on the popular Fox News midday talk show ‘Outnumbered,’ has been off the air for two weeks and is probably at the end of her six-year run at the network, according to people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to comment and requested anonymity.”
Fox News claims Francis being taken off the air was just part of regular business as Fox News is always tweaking its programming.
“Fox News Media regularly considers programming changes, including to its daytime lineup, and will launch new formats as appropriate after the election,” a Fox News Channel statement read. “These changes are being made independent of any other ongoing matter.”
The Los Angeles Times disputed this characterization of Francis being taken off the air and told the paper that Fox fired Francis.
Journalist Yashar Ali had a different explanation.
In Yashar’s newsletter he claimed that Fox News yanked Francis off the air over a dispute Francis had over men allegedly being paid more than women at the cable network.
Yashar reported:
Longtime Fox News Channel and Fox Business host Melissa Francis claims that Dianne Brandi, the former General Counsel for the network who is now a consultant who deals with talent contracts (among other things), told her “men make more than women do, that’s just the way it works,” when Francis complained about pay disparity between her and male counterparts.
A source close to situation said they don’t believe Brandi would have said anything like this and that it doesn’t sound like something she would say.
But some conservatives suspected some behind-the-scenes funny business was involved.
For months, rumors circulated that Fox News Channel board member former RINO Speaker of the House Paul Ryan pushed new Fox News head Lachlan Murdoch to cut Trump loose and move the network to promote John McCain and Mitt Romney-style Republicans.
Francis was a vocal Trump supporter and her last tweet was a prediction that President Trump would win the election.
“Trump will win. I’m not advocating, I’m telling you to mentally prepare. Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Francis posted on social media.
Many Trump supporters worry that Ryan believes Trump will lose the election and is using this moment to purge Fox News Channel of Trump supporters.
