The latest blow up between the President and the top-rated cable news channel occurred when Fox News published a brand new poll showing 49 percent of Americans supported impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office, while 46 percent of Americans did not.
Fox News’s poll also found Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders leading the President in hypothetical 2020 matchups.
President Trump met with reporters outside the White House after the Fox News poll was released.
In his remarks, the President once again criticized Fox News’s polling unit.
“The Fox polls have always been lousy. I tell them they ought to get themselves a new pollster,” President Trump told the press.
Polling on impeachment stopped being newsworthy weeks ago.
The polls all show the same thing with slight pluralities supporting impeachment on a national level.
None of the polls indicate Republicans support the un-American effort to undo the 2016 election.
And the only battleground polling in the key states that will determine the outcome of the 2020 election shows impeachment is unpopular.
Networks conduct polling like this to create content because they need to fill 24 hours of programming seven days a week.
Impeachment polling allows networks to claim breaking news and then devote countless segments across multiple shows where panelists and hosts digest the results.
These polls also create a steady drumbeat of stories in the fake and corrupt news media that the American people turned on President Trump.
But these polls have no news value.
It’s just regurgitating the same tired talking points.
Fox News came under similar criticism for its Presidential match up polls.
Polls 12 months out from an election hold no predictive value.
And Democrats are set to hold their first nominating caucus in less than 100 days in Iowa.
National polls offer no meaningful look at the race because there is no national primary.
But so-called “mainstream” media outlets continue to release national polls instead of surveys of key early states like Iowa and New Hampshire because it drives a pro-Joe Biden narrative.
The media wants Trump defeated at all costs and the “experts” in the press believe Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are too radical to win the election.
So rather than poll Iowa and New Hampshire – where Warren and Sanders lead and Biden is falling behind – so-called “mainstream” media outlets pump out national and hypothetical head to head matchup polls to beat into the heads of Democrat voters that Joe Biden is the frontrunner and he stands the best chance to beat Donald Trump.
