Hillary Clinton is one of the worst politicians in American history.
Clinton proved that in two failed presidential campaigns, but Democrats were not prepared for what was about to happen.
And now Hillary Clinton made Democrats’ lives a living hell with this massive blunder.
Democrats spent months claiming that Donald Trump and any Republican that questions the result of the 2020 presidential election is a member of the “sedition caucus.”
Hillary Clinton just stepped on that messaging and undercut her party by pushing the Big Lie about the 2016 election.
In a Chatham House conversation with former Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary and Tory leader William Hague, Hillary Clinton cast doubt on the results of the 2016 election and directly attacked democracy by claiming the Russians stole the election from her.
“I do think we’re in a crisis of democracy,” Clinton told Hague segueing into the topic of “foreign interference” after Hague told Clinton that she had “been on the receiving end of that, perhaps more than anyone else in the world.”
Of course, this was referring to the allegation that the Russians hacked the email accounts of the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
No evidence has ever been presented to substantiate these claims.
Clinton eagerly agreed with this characterization and claimed the Russians helped rig the election.
“Russia is the primary adversary when it comes to interfering in elections and democracy more broadly.” Clinton statedthat it “has now been proven beyond a doubt in our election in 2016, but in the continuing efforts to interfere even in the 2020 election, particularly the lead up to it — but I think there was also significant evidence of Russian involvement, if not influence or interference in Brexit.
“Leaders must be willing to stand up to and speak out against Russian interference, or frankly interference from any foreign power — but let’s focus on Russia,” Clinton added.
There is no evidence the Russians had any effect on the 2016 election.
But this fiction persists because the Clinton campaign commissioned the Christopher Steele dossier that included baseless claims and lies about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians on a scheme to disseminate hacked emails to steal the election.
Because of these lies, a 2018 Gallup poll found 78 percent of Democrats think Russia interfered in the 2016 election and changed the results.
Part of this is the lies Clinton paid for in the Steele dossier about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians, but also because the corporate media undermined confidence in a free and fair election by claiming Russia “hacked the election” as misleading shorthand.
These lies led one of the two major parties—the Democrats—to fully immerse themselves in conspiracy and lies.
But if Democrats want to continue claiming anyone that asks questions about the 2020 election is a traitor, they need to answer for Hillary Clinton’s assault on democracy by convincing her voters of the Big Lie that the Russians changed the outcome of the 2016 election.
