Hillary Clinton and her campaign invented the Russia narrative after Trump won to create an excuse for her defeat.
Now, there is direct proof one campaign colluded with a foreign government to try and rig the election.
But there is one secret about collusion Hillary Clinton doesn’t want to get out.
There is direct evidence the Clinton campaign colluded with the Ukrainian government to damage Donald Trump’s presidential bid.
“Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.
A Ukrainian-American operative who was consulting for the Democratic National Committee met with top officials in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington in an effort to expose ties between Trump, top campaign aide Paul Manafort and Russia, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.
The Ukrainian efforts had an impact in the race, helping to force Manafort’s resignation and advancing the narrative that Trump’s campaign was deeply connected to Ukraine’s foe to the east, Russia. But they were far less concerted or centrally directed than Russia’s alleged hacking and dissemination of Democratic emails.”
This story has been circulating after the New York Times reported Donald Trump, Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner attended a meeting where a Russian lawyer claimed to have information about Hillary Clinton colluding with Russia.
The lawyer had no such information and the meeting quickly ended.
But liberals were quick to claim Trump, Jr. was in legal jeopardy for violating campaign finance laws which prohibit accepting something of value from a foreigner during an election.
If what Trump did was illegal, then the Clinton operation is also in serious jeopardy.
In addition, clearly the only evidence of collusion with a foreign government that took place in the 2016 campaign was by the Clinton campaign.
Even in their story, the Times notes there is no evidence an email, allegedly warning Trump that the information the lawyer possessed may have come from the Russian government, had any connection to the email hacks of the Democratic National Committee.
The press will continue to chase its own tail on the collusion narrative.
But in an interview on the Today Show, the Russian lawyer involved said she did not have the information on Clinton and denied being part of a Russian government effort to help Trump win.
