The Democrats are hell-bent on making sure Donald Trump doesn’t finish his term and is removed.
But there’s bad news for the Democrats, as Nancy Pelosi lost it after realizing William Barr’s new power may prevent impeachment.
For impeachment to take place, the Democrats would need some real, damning evidence against Trump to come up.
And thus far, that hasn’t happened.
The reason Nancy Pelosi is holding out hope for impeachment is that she believes the Mueller report contains some “secret information” that will give them a chance to torch Trump.
This expectation is misplaced, as the Department of Justice has seen the entire report and Barr already announced there was no reason to prosecute the President.
Pelosi is hoping she’ll get to see the same report that Barr did and has asked for the Department of Justice to release the entire unredacted report.
However, as a condition to viewing the entire report, Pelosi has also requested that Barr release the report to her and the whole country at the same time.
President Trump gave Barr new power when he became the Attorney General to control the release of information, and Barr will not release the entire report because he knows it contains sensitive government information.
So instead, he offered to give Pelosi a redacted copy of the report, to which she and Schumer refused.
And now that the offer to see only a less redacted report is on the table, Pelosi is freaking out that she will lose out on any chance to make impeachment happen.
In an interview with The Christian Science Monitor, Pelosi said she was scared about losing access to the Mueller report.
She began, “I don’t know if this is news or it was news last week, but we will be having access to [a] less-redacted version of the Mueller report. I had said originally unless the whole country can see what they show us, we shouldn’t see it.”
“But I have. When we had the offer of this less redacted for many more people than just the leadership I accepted that because I’m afraid. I really don’t trust the attorney general of the United States and I’m afraid,” she continued.
The fact Pelosi is scared of losing out on getting the chance to impeach the President should satisfy those on the right.
It’s also evident that, because the Democrats refused to see the redacted report, they’re just playing political games.
They aren’t concerned about justice… they just want Trump gone and they’re willing to do anything to make that happen.
