Former FBI Director James Comey made the worst decision of his life.
Comey came out swinging in his book tour and hurled vicious attacks at the President.
But now his worst nightmare may be about to come true.
Americans are becoming increasingly fed up with Comey and his smug self-righteousness.
Voters are wondering why Comey escapes consequence for leaking classified information and lying to Congress, meanwhile struts across the media landscape smearing President Trump as “morally unfit” to be President.
Well it’s starting to catch up to Comey.
According to Rasmussen, a plurality of voters want to see Comey prosecuted.
Breitbart reports:
“The latest polling from Rasmussen Reports (one of the most reliable in 2016) shows a huge slide in support for James Comey, the disgraced former head of the FBI. A plurality of 46 percent now want to see him prosecuted for leaking to the media…
… Comey has admitted to leaking details of his classified conversations with Trump to the media through an intermediary. Last June, only 41 percent wanted to see him prosecuted for this. That number has now jumped to a near-majority and clear plurality of 46 percent.”
Comey confessed to leaking his memos of conversations with the President to a friend so that after he was fired, they would wind up in the press and lay the groundwork for a special counsel.
But Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley noted that four of the seven memos had information marked “CONFIDENTIAL” or “SECRET.”
The Daily Caller reports:
“James Comey may have leaked at least one classified memo to a friend shortly after he was fired as FBI director.
That’s an assessment from Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, who wrote a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Wednesday demanding answers about the handling of memos that Comey wrote following his conversations with President Trump.
Grassley noted that he and his staff recently reviewed seven memos that Comey wrote after his meetings with Trump. Four of those documents contained information classified as “CONFIDENTIAL” or “SECRET.”
The public’s desire to see Comey jailed are in line with the President.
Trump tweeted that Comey committed many crimes.
Comey drafted the Crooked Hillary exoneration long before he talked to her (lied in Congress to Senator G), then based his decisions on her poll numbers. Disgruntled, he, McCabe, and the others, committed many crimes!
