Kamala Harris is widely expected to replace Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee for president in 2024.
The corporate media and many Democrats worry about that eventuality.
And Jen Psaki revealed Kamala Harris is most afraid of this potential 2024 GOP challenger.
During a recent White House press briefing,Jen Psaki played 2024 politics from behind the podium attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for DeSantis’ decision to follow the science and ban mask mandates in the state’s public schools.
Children are not at high risk of adverse outcomes and schools have not been significant vectors of viral spread.
Critics argue that forcing children to wear masks for six to eight hours a day harms their social development and amounts to child abuse.
DeSantis is a rising star in the GOP because DeSantis rejected mask mandates, quickly ended the lockdown and kept Florida’s economy open.
The Florida governor declared Florida would choose freedom over Fauci-ism which provided the launching pad for a potential 2024 campaign.
“I want to empower parents to make the best decisions they can for the well-being of their children,” DeSantis stated.
“In Florida, there will be no lockdowns, there will be no school closures, there will be no restrictions and no mandates in the state of Florida,” DeSantis added.
Instead of following the data and the science the Biden administration instead urged a nationwide mask mandate for all children over two.
In the briefing Psaki claimed the Biden administration was “ready and available to provide any assistance that is needed, whether that’s Florida or anywhere else in the country, we have these strike forces. We are at a very different point in the pandemic than we were months ago.”
Psaki then attacked Florida for serving as the epicenter of the surge in cases.
“I will note, as you touched on there, 20 percent of the cases we’re seeing are in Florida. There are steps and precautions that can be taken, including encouraging people to get vaccinated, encouraging people to wear masks, including allowing schools to mandate masks and allowing kids to wear masks, which is not the current state of play in Florida,” Psaki stated.
Psaki then attacked DeSantis for not forcing children to wear masks.
“At a certain point,” Psaki added, “leaders are going to have to choose whether they’re going to follow public health guidelines or whether they are going to follow politics, and we certainly encourage all governors to follow the public health guidelines.”
Kamala Harris is an exceptionally weak presidential candidate.
Harris dropped out of the 2020 race around Thanksgiving of 2019 after her fundraising and poll numbers cratered.
Serving as vice president did not improve Harris’ image with Americans.
Harris’ poll numbers are underwater as Americans see Harris as the face of the administration’s failed response to the border crisis.
If Ron DeSantis is the GOP nominee in 2024 many Democrats fear Harris is a sure-fire loser.
And that explains why Jen Psaki used the White House press briefing to attack Governor DeSantis over his science-based response to banning mask mandates in school and rejecting lockdowns.
