President Trump shocked the world when he chose to release the JFK files.
Thousands of never before seen documents about the JFK assassination are now in the public domain.
And one of those documents is so shocking it may tarnish one Democrat president’s legacy for good.
While the release of the JFK files mostly relate to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy, some other less-related documents made their way into the release.
Likely the most shocking, but not too surprising, information to come out relates to former President Lyndon B. Johnson.
One of the documents from May of 1964 comes from an informant who told the FBI the Ku Klux Klan “had documented proof that President Johnson was formerly a member of the Klan in Texas during the early days of his political career.”
As reported by TheHayRide.com:
“[T]he source claiming then-president Lyndon Baines Johnson, who ascended to the White House after the Kennedy assassination, was a member of the Ku Klux Klan might well have been in a position to know.
That Johnson would have been a member of the Klan wouldn’t be much of a surprise, frankly. As a member of the Senate he had fought vigorously against civil rights legislation favored by President Eisenhower and Republicans on Capitol Hill, and early in his political career Johnson was guilty of all kinds of statements in support of the Jim Crow reality in the South.
And when Johnson was trying to pass the Great Society package, there is a famous (infamous?) story which had him telling a Southern governor riding with him on Air Force One that by passing of the civil rights and welfare bills he was pushing, “I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years.””
The charge coming against LBJ isn’t too surprising.
Democrats have spent years trying to justify their love for him, despite his fiercely racist past.
After supporting a number of civil rights and welfare bills, he reportedly stated: “I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years.”
It is clear that supporting civil rights is nothing more than a political issue for many in the Democrat Party.
The Ku Klux Klan was founded by Democrats, after all.
If the allegation is true, LBJ wouldn’t be the first Democrat president to be a part of the Ku Klux Klan, as pointed out by Dinesh D’Souza on Twitter:

Even if the reports of LBJ being a part of the Klan turn out to be true, it won’t matter to the Democrats.
If this charge were sent towards Donald Trump, they would have a field day, but because LBJ has a D by his name they don’t care.
