Some believe he has the best chance of defeating Donald Trump.
But that all changed when Joe Biden destroyed his career when he said these four words.
Joe Biden Attacks Trump Supporters
Biden spoke at the annual Human Rights Campaign dinner.
The Human Rights Campaign is a far-left group that pushes the homosexual agenda.
During his speech, Biden described Trump supporters as the “dregs of society.”
“Despite losing in the courts, and in the court of opinion, these forces of intolerance remain determined to undermine and roll back the progress you all have made,” Biden began.
“This time they—not you—have an ally in the White House. This time they have an ally. They’re a small percentage of the American people—virulent people, some of them the dregs of society,” Biden ranted.
He then attacked Trump and his supporters for promoting “prejudice.”
“Those who try to excuse this kind of prejudice in the name of culture, I say, ‘Prejudice is prejudice, and humanity is humanity. It is a crime,’” Biden declared.
He finished by saying, “Our work is not yet done–by any stretch of the imagination. The stakes are much too high.”

The Impact On 2020
Biden’s comments reminded Americans of Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” gaffe.
She ripped Trump supporters as “deplorable” and said they were “irredeemable.”
Many people believe her insults played a major role in Trump’s victory.
Biden took it another step further.
Hate dominates Democrat Party politics.
Anyone running for President must prove to the “resistance” that they hate Donald Trump and his agenda.
Liberals won’t tolerate anyone who does not condemn the President in the harshest terms possible.
Democrats do not just believe Trump and his supporters are wrong.
They think they are evil.
The media painted a picture of Biden as a “deal maker” when he was in the Senate and during his two terms as Vice President.
Democrats don’t want a deal maker.
Biden knows this and that is why he smeared Trump supporters.
He also has other problems.
Biden is a straight, white, man.
This primary season showed Democrats are voting on identity even more than ideology.
Women and minorities are winning races because Democrats want candidates who “look like them.”
That puts Biden at a disadvantage.
Biden is a white man in a party where that is seen as a negative.
So he needs to make up for that by launching over-the-top attacks on Trump.

Some Democrats believe Biden is their strongest choice because he can appeal to the white working class voters who went for Trump.
