After all Big Tech platforms banned Donald Trump after the January 6 melee at the Capitol, Democrats and establishment Republicans breathed a sigh of relief.
Without access to social media the corporate media could effectively exile Trump from the national political conversation by refusing to cover his statements and imposing a news blackout.
But earlier this year Trump announced the creation of a new social media platform called TRUTH Social.
TRUTH would allow Trump to directly communicate with tens of millions of Americans as a presidential campaign where Trump has no social media presence while the Democrat candidate owns unfettered access to Google, Facebook and Twitter makes a Trump comeback not viable.
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) named Digital World Acquisition Corp. announced plans to merge with the Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. after raising one billion dollars in pledges to bring the platform to the public.
But now the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating trading around the October 21 merger announcement.
SPACs can raise money through an initial public offering and then execute a merger, but they must disclose that information to traders.
Digital World Acquisition Corp. released a statement explain that the SEC requested documents and had not found any evidence of wrongdoing explaining that “the investigation does not mean that the S.E.C. has concluded that anyone violated the law or that the S.E.C. has a negative opinion of D.W.A.C. or any person, event, or security.”
In an interview with Newsmax, Trump slammed the latest Democrat witch hunt against him.
“This is just a continuation of witch hunts. Anything you do, they want to look at it. They look at it. They don’t look at themselves,” Trump stated.
Trump warned Republicans that Democrats were weaponizing every agency of the federal government to harass and prosecute conservatives and that if the GOP did not fight back America would turn into a communist nation.
“If our side doesn’t have a voice, eventually … you’re going to end up with pure communism,” Trump added. “It’s a disgrace what’s going on. But you’re going to end up with a communist nation.”

And that’s why many believe the Biden administration is using every tool at its disposal to keep Trump from running in 2024 with critics contending this latest SEC investigation is the latest partisan manipulation by the swamp to hurt Trump.
