But now all hell is breaking loose.
Joe Biden gave the military a controversial order that caused this big problem.
The first two and a half months of the Biden administration has seen an ever-worsening crisis at the southern border.
In the month of March,Border Patrol encountered 171,000 illegal aliens, which was the biggest number in 15 years.
That surge included over 18,000 illegal alien children.
Instead of reinstating the successful Trump administration policies that slowed down the last flood of illegal aliens trying to enter the country, the Biden administration created a new magnet that will attract another wave of illegal aliens mobbing the border.
Biden ordered Camp Roberts in California to serve as the third military base to act as a hotel for illegal alien children.
A Defense Department statement read:
On April 2, the Department of Defense approved a request for assistance from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for facilities and land to temporarily house unaccompanied children at Camp Roberts, California.
This support is being provided on a fully-reimbursable basis. DoD only provides this kind of support where it has no impact on military readiness and its ability to conduct its primary missions.
We refer you to HHS for more detail about the manner in which they will avail themselves of Camp Roberts and the number of children they expect to place there.
Biden’s tried to blame this catastrophe at the border on season migration patterns.
“The truth of the matter is nothing has changed,” Biden falsely claimed. “It happens every single, solitary year: There is a significant increase in the number of people coming to the border in the winter months of January, February, March. That happens every year.”
But even the left-wing Washington Post called out Biden for his falsehoods noting that the surge of illegal alien border crossings was much worse under Biden than in past years.
“The enforcement statistics from March belie that claim. The precipitous increase in crossings during the first two months of Biden’s term has a more vertical growth curve than any comparable span over the past two decades. The biggest two-month increase during the last big surge in 2019 was about 45,000 in raw numbers. Between January (78,442) and March 2021 (171,000) it was more than 90,000,” the Post reported.
The number of illegal aliens attempting to cross into America is worse under Biden than past U.S. presidents which is due to the fact that no other president before Biden threw the border open in such a reckless manner.
During one Democrat primary debate, Biden invited illegal aliens to come to America.
As President, his first actions included executive orders pausing deportations and rolling back Donald Trump’s successful policies.
Biden is adding to that calamity by telling illegal alien children that if their parents send them to America, the U.S. military will care for them.
It is a recipe for disaster.
