Joe Biden got caught on camera doing one thing that left jaws on the ground.
During a speech in Poland, Joe Biden committed one of the most dangerous gaffes by any president in history.
At the end of his remarks, Biden veered off the prepared script and declared his support for regime change in Russia.
“For God’s sake this man cannot remain in power,” Biden stated.
Biden’s handlers instantly recognized the hazard of the president of the United States calling for the overthrow of a leader who commands a 6,000-warhead nuclear arsenal.
That’s why staffers walked back Biden’s comment as quickly as they could.
“The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region,” an anonymous White House official explained. “He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”
But then Biden did the most Joe Biden thing possible and stepped on that clarification and insisted there was no walk back of a call for regime change.
“I was expressing my outrage,” Biden said in a press conference. “He shouldn’t remain in power, just like bad people shouldn’t continue to do bad things. But it doesn’t mean we have a fundamental policy to do anything to take Putin down in any way.”
Biden confirmed there was no walk back.
“I’m not walking anything back. The fact of the matter is, I was expressing the moral outrage I felt toward the way Putin is dealing and the actions of this man, which is just brutality,” Biden continued.
Reporters pressed Biden on if he was concerned how Putin would react if he thought the United States desired to remove him from power.
“I don’t care what he thinks,” Biden added. “Look, here’s the deal — he’s gonna do what he’s gonna do.”
Biden then appeared to offer a glimpse into the insight United States intelligence gained into Putin’s mindset by telling the press that Putin was not listening to his advisors.
“He’s not affected by anybody else — including, unfortunately, apparently his own advisers,” Biden added. “He is a guy who goes to the beat of his own drum, and the idea that he is going to do something outrageous because I called him for what he was and what he’s doing, I think it’s just not rational.”
Biden’s gaffes – which many believe are caused by cognitive decline – are becoming a danger to U.S. national security.
Not only is Biden revealing the extent to which U.S. intelligence penetrated Putin’s inner circle, but Biden and his staff cannot get on the same page as to if the United States wants to overthrow the leader of the world’s largest nuclear arsenal.
