The Biden administration tied to slip critical race theory into a guide about reopening schools properly.
Department of Education officials tried to pass on an Abolitionist Teaching Guide to America’s students.
The founder of the Abolitionist Teaching Network, Bettina Love, described schools in terms of critical race theory by claiming white supremacy is everywhere in America – especially in schools.
Love wrote her theory “is dedicated to not creating new schools or reimagining schools, but destroying schools that do nothing but harm Black and brown children,” Love added that, “If you don’t recognize that White supremacy is in everything we do, then we got a problem.”
The guide’s based on critical race theory and includes racist brainwashing to make students hate other students based on their race.
“Abolitionist Teaching promotes justice, healing, joy, and liberation for all Black, Brown, and Indigenous folx, inclusive of all intersecting identities,” the group’s guide states.
Abolitionist Teaching demands schools make decisions on disciplining students based on their skin color urging administrators to “[r]emove all punitive or disciplinary practices that spirit murder Black, Brown, and Indigenous children” and to “[b]uild a school culture that engages in healing and advocacy.”
This guide promoted racism by urging teachers to “disrupt Whiteness.”
“This requires a commitment to learning from students, families, and educators who disrupt Whiteness and other forms of oppression,” the guide instructed.
Finally, the guide attacked traditional social and emotional learning as racist claiming it “can be a covert form of policing used to punish, criminalize, and control Black, Brown, and Indigenous children and communities to adhere to White norms,” adding that “[m]ost SEL standards are rooted in Eurocentric norms, not to empower, love, affirm, or free Black, Brown, or Indigenous children.”
Once this became public the Biden administration could not disavow this racist teaching guide fast enough.
“The Department does not endorse the recommendations of this group, nor do they reflect our policy positions,” a Department of Education statement explained. “It was an error in a lengthy document to include this citation.”
Critical race theory caused a grassroots firestorm all across America.
Parents and students mobbed school board meetings demanding an end to this Marxist theory in classrooms.
Several red states passed legislation banning it from curriculum.
Leftists do not know what to do.
On some days they argue no one teaches critical race theory.
But other times, liberals claim critics cannot explain what critical race theory is so they can’t identify when it’s taught in schools.
However, as evidenced by the hasty retreat the Biden administration beat when they got caught trying to promote it in schools, it’s no surprise no one on the left wants to define it.
