Joe Biden’s presidency is even more of a disaster than anyone thought.
Now more details trickled out.
And Joe Biden had a frantic phone call that led to this terrible confession.
Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Robert Costa’s book “Peril” garnered headlines for reporting about alleged acts of treason by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley for reportedly calling his counterpart in Communist China and pledging to warn him if Donald Trump launched an attack.
But the book also covers the first chaotic months of the Biden administration.
The first 100 days of the Biden administration centered around ramming a nearly two-trillion-dollar blue state bailout bill through Congress on a party line vote using the budget reconciliation process.
That meant Democrats could not afford to lose one vote in the Senate where they held just 50 seats.
West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin hemmed and hawed about the bill panicking the White House about Biden’s presidency imploding on the launch pad if Biden’s number one legislative initiative failed if even every Democrat could not even agree on the legislation.
That led to Joe Biden calling Manchin and profanely begging Manchin to fall in line which sent the message to Manchin that Manchin held the prospects for Biden’s presidency in his hands.
The Washington Post reports:
During a March 5 phone call to discuss Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus plan, his first major legislative undertaking, the president reportedly told Sen. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va), “if you don’t come along, you’re really f—ing me.” The measure ultimately cleared the Senate through an elaborate sequencing of amendments designed to satisfy the centrist Democrat.
But now that Joe Biden’s poll numbers flipped upside down with more Americans disapproving of Joe Biden than approving, Democrats and the Biden administration are once again panicking about Manchin.
Manchin’s demanded a strategic pause on the Democrats’ attempt to ram through a $3.5 trillion spending bill that serves as a vehicle to impose the Green New Deal and turn America into a cradle-to-grave socialist state.
Socialists like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez insisted $3.5 trillion in new big government spending already represented a compromise and the price tag could not drop further.
This bill could be the breaking point for the administration.
Biden’s presidency crumbled under the weight of failures on illegal immigration, vaccine mandates, crime, jobs, inflation and Afghanistan.
If Joe Manchin opposes Biden’s Green New Deal and socialist welfare state spending bill, official Washington – elected officials, lobbyists and pundits – will declare Biden a failed president.
Joe Manchin looks like he wants to run for a second term in 2024 or possibly mount another campaign for governor.
West Virginia is one of the reddest states in the Union and if Manchin wants a future in the state’s politics, he can’t be voting in lockstep with socialists on the prize wish list bill.
And that could spell doom for Joe Biden.
