From the moment former Vice President Joe Biden announced his Presidential campaign, he vaulted to frontrunner status.
Some Washington insiders believe he may be the toughest challenger against President Trump in a General Election.
But now Joe Biden is facing this serious health issue that could destroy his campaign.
A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that Americans said that being over 75 is the least attractive quality in a Presidential candidate.
Former Vice President Biden is 77 years-old and President Trump has already tagged him with the “Sleepy Joe” nickname.
And Biden did little to quell concerns about his physical fitness to be President with his bizarre launch to his Presidential campaign.
During his first event at a Pittsburgh union hall, Biden slurred his words and stammered his way through his remarks.
“I want to thank Rich Fritzgerald, the county executive for — the baladanny — the Allegheny County executive for being here,” Biden stammered.

The Washington Examiner also reported Biden slurred his words at an event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the following day.
“The country wasn’t built by Wall Street bankers, CEOs, and hudge — heh — and hedge fund managers,” he stammered.
Occasionally, words were entirely indecipherable. “Union workers, the UAW took extredable — cuts in their pensions and their future and the less to get GM working,” Biden stated.
Biden raised more alarms about his age when he campaigned in Columbia, South Carolina and claimed that Margaret Thatcher was one of the 14 world leaders who called him to express their dismay that Donald Trump was President.
Margaret Thatcher left office in 1990 and died in 2013.
“Margaret Thatcher um, excuse me, Margaret Thatcher – Freudian slip,” Biden stated. “But I knew her too.”
Biden then went on to correctly name the British Prime Minister, “The prime minister of Great Britain, Theresa May.”
Polls show Biden’s age is a concern to voters.
And President Trump successfully attacked both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton for their perceived lack of energy.
Trump finished Bush – the presumed frontrunner when the 2016 race began – by nicknaming him “low energy Jeb.”
In the General Election, he constantly blasted Hillary Clinton for her light campaign schedule— which Trump told voters proved that Hillary didn’t have the strength or stamina to be President.
Joe Biden could be ripe for a similar fate.
Trump’s nicknames for his opponents have proven to be devastatingly successful.
Calling Biden “Sleepy Joe” is way to constantly remind voters of Biden’s fitness for office without getting into a debate over age.
As the campaign moves to the stages where voters really start to “tune in,” Trump’s early branding of Biden as “sleepy”—combined with Biden’s poor performance on the campaign trail—could be the silver bullet that destroys his campaign.
Do you believe President Trump’s “Sleepy Joe” nickname will prove to be effective?
