Joe Biden’s White House is in crisis.
The administration is scrambling in damage control mode as one major failure threatens to tank the Democrats political prospects.
And now Joe Biden is preparing an ultimatum that will threaten a major ally.
Last December, Joe Biden pledged that the federal government would never mandate the coronavirus vaccine.
Medical decisions have always been private matters in America, and Biden promised it would remain that way.
But now Biden admits he was not telling the truth and announced that a mandate for federal workers to take the vaccine or submit to a coronavirus testing regime is “under consideration right now.”
Biden made it clear avoiding the vaccine was not an option when he insulted Americans who chose not to get the vaccine as “stupid.”
“If you’re not vaccinated, you’re not nearly as smart as I thought you were,” Biden added.
But Biden has a major problem on his hands.
The federal government is the nation’s largest employer.
Public employee unions are also the biggest supporters of the Democrat Party.
And in a surprising twist, union bosses have pushed back against the federal government mandating workers take the coronavirus vaccine.
POLITICO reports:
Prior to Biden’s announcement, White House officials told labor groups they were prepping guidelines on vaccine requirements and strict Covid testing for federal workers and expected to announce them later this week, according to two people briefed on the discussions.
“They’re preparing for it,” said one of the sources.
“While no decision has been finalized, attestation of vaccination, which means confirming vaccination status or abiding by stringent COVID-19 protocols like mandatory mask wearing — even in communities not with high or substantial spread — and regular testing, for federal employees is one option under strong consideration,” a source with direct knowledge of the matter said. “The White House is expected to share more details after completing policy review later this week.”
The administration’s actions and rhetoric on the vaccine continues to undermine the American people’s confidence in the shot.
Many Americans support vaccines and had no problem getting the shot.
But millions also object to the government forcing them to get it.
Americans can support the vaccine and still support personal choice and autonomy in making medical decisions.
In recent weeks, Democrat officials, so-called public health experts, and corporate media activists adopted an almost religious fervor towards forcing Americans to take the vaccine under the threat of government coercion.
However, a recent Trafalgar Group poll showed Americans oppose mandatory vaccination by a whopping 71 to 22 margin.
Now Joe Biden may be realizing that some of his closest allies are also part of that 71 percent of Americans who oppose government forced vaccinations.
