Joe Biden’s failures are piling up by the day.
Now, Democrats are on the verge of open revolt.

While it’s increasingly likely that Joe Biden will end up losing the 2024 presidential election if he even chooses to run, there are growing signs that Biden may not even get his own party’s nomination for president that year.
With Biden’s approval rating stuck in the low 40s, and with inflation running out of control as the country begins to slip into a deep recession, Biden is facing growing opposition from within his own party.
And one former Democrat presidential candidate is about to make a decision that could end up trashing Biden’s career for good.
After two failed presidential runs of his own, Bernie Sanders is considering a third attempt at the presidency that could see him coming to blows with Biden in a 2024 Democrat presidential primary rematch.
The Hill reports, “Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Monday said he hadn’t yet decided whether he will make another bid for the White House. Sanders, an Independent who caucuses with Senate Democrats, mounted his first presidential campaign as a Democrat in the 2016 general election, ultimately losing the party’s nomination to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“He ran again in the 2020 election cycle but suspended his campaign before the primaries concluded, ceding the Democrats’ nomination to now-President Biden.”
For Biden, a Sanders primary challenge could end up being the final straw that breaks the camel’s back.
With Biden’s approval already tanking, and with Democrats increasingly souring on his leadership, he needs a united party to even stand a chance of winning in 2024.
And history shows that no presidential incumbent has ever won re-election in modern history after suffering from a strong primary challenge from within their own party.
In 1992, George H.W. Bush had to fend off a primary challenge from Pat Buchanan, heralding his eventual defeat to Bill Clinton.
And in 1980, Jimmy Carter had to do the same against Ted Kennedy, marking the beginning of the end of his own landslide defeat to Ronald Reagan later that November.
For Biden, a Sanders primary challenge would likely amount to a similar result, and signal that he is on track to losing re-election in a major way.
The Hill adds, “Asked what he thinks about a potential reelection bid for Biden, Sanders insisted ‘that’s his decision.’”
It’s clear that Democrats are already looking for alternatives to Biden.
And Sanders is beginning to throw his name out there to see if there’s any interest in him challenging Biden from the Left.
But there may be other Democrats too who try to topple Biden by defeating him in the party’s primary.
And whether or not Sanders does officially run for a third time, it’s clear that Biden has dug himself into a hole from which his political career may never recover from.
