Joe Biden’s presidency is crumbling under the weight of a series of self-inflicted crises.
And now Democrats could be reaching the point of no return.
That’s because Joe Biden just got served with the bad news that keeps Democrats up at night.
Trump’s close ally Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan recently told a group of activists in the key state of Iowa when referring to a potential 2024 Trump comeback that “I think he’s gonna run.”
Jordan claimed his conversations with Trump led him to believe Trump intended to mount a re-election campaign in three years.
“I talked to him yesterday, I’m convinced he’s going to, you know, he’s thinking about this fine governor you have as part of that amazing ticket,” Jordan added.
New polling data shows why Trump looks at 2024 as an inviting opportunity for a restoration.
A recent Emerson poll shows Trump leading Joe Biden in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup.
“A national Emerson College Poll finds President Joe Biden with a split job approval among registered voters: 47% disapprove and 46% approve of the job he is doing as President. Seven percent (7%) are undecided. Biden’s approval rating has gone down since the last Emerson national poll in February, where his approval was at 49% approve and 39% disapprove, with 12% undecided,” an Emerson release accompanying the poll results read.
Emerson also noted there was significantly more support for Trump in the GOP than for Biden among Democrats.
Nearly 40 percent of Democrats wanted someone other than Biden as their nominee in 2024.
Emerson’s poll release read:
Among Democratic voters, 60% said they would like to see Biden as the 2024 presidential nominee, 39% said they would rather it be someone else (n=450, +/-4.6%).
Among Republican voters, a majority (67%) said that they would vote for former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical Republican primary with 7 other candidates. When Trump was listed as a potential candidate, Governor Ron DeSantis was the only other candidate who got double digit support at 10%.
That’s not surprising.
There was never much enthusiasm for Joe Biden the candidate in 2020 as his events drew small crowds and Biden was not the leader of a movement the way Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump was.
But Democrat voters settled on Biden as the best candidate to defeat Trump and hatred of Trump is what drove turnout on the left.
Now that Biden’s president, the reality of what he is – senile and feeble – weighs against how much liberals hate Trump.
Independents tired of Trump saw that Biden did no better in managing COVID and that the Biden administration’s policies caused crime, illegal immigration and inflation crises.
The Afghanistan debacle shattered the myth of Biden as a wise, old, competent Washington hand.
Emerson’s poll showed Americans weighing the Biden record of failure against Trump’s four years in office and deciding that Trump wasn’t nearly the villain the corporate media painted him to be.
