Joe Biden just made a huge mistake.
It could cost him everything.
And Joe Biden made one prediction about Donald Trump that instantly blew up in his face.
During a press conference at NATO headquarters a reporter from the German outlet Der Spiegel asked Biden if he feared a Trump-like Republican or Trump himself running and winning the presidency in 2024.
That led to Biden repeating the fact that Biden launched his presidential campaign on a lie by again falsely claiming that President Trump calling neo-Nazis in Charlottesville “very fine people” inspired Biden to run for the presidency.
“I made a commitment when I ran this time. I wasn’t going to run again, and I mean that sincerely. I had no intention of running for President again and — until I saw those folks coming out of the fields in Virginia carrying torches and carrying Nazi banners and literally singing the same vile rhyme that they used in Germany in the early ‘20s — or ‘30s, I should say. And then, when the gentleman you mentioned was asked what he thought — and a young woman was killed, a protester — and he asked — was asked what he thought, he said, ‘There are very good people on both sides.’ And that’s when I decided I wasn’t going to be quiet any longer,” Biden falsely asserted.
In that famous 2017 press conference Trump stated flatly that he condemned white supremacists and neo-Nazis.
The “very fine people” remarks referred to regular Americans that protested the woke mob trying to take down a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.
Biden then claimed his sole political focus was on keeping Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in charge of Congress so Democrats could continue to impose their socialist agenda on America.
“And so, we’re a long way off in elections — a long way off. My focus of any election is on making sure that we retain the House and the United States Senate so that I have the room to continue to do the things that I’ve been able to do in terms of grow the economy and deal in a rational way with American foreign policy and lead the world — lead the — be the leader of the free world,” Biden added.
Biden then concluded by saying he could only be so lucky to run against Trump again in 2024.
“And so, I don’t blame — I don’t — I don’t criticize anybody for asking that question. But the next election, I’d be very fortunate if I had that same man running against me,” Biden stated.
That may not work out so well for Biden.
A recent Grinnell College poll found Biden with just a 34 percent approval rating.
Emerson’s latest survey found Trump leading Biden 45 to 42 percent in a hypothetical horserace poll.
The American people blame Biden for the border crisis, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, surging inflation and record-high gas prices.
If Biden were to run again against Trump the compare and contrast of their terms in office would not reflect well on Biden.
