A suspected Chinese reconnaissance balloon device was seen flying over America.
Yet Biden is refusing to confront the problem.
Joe Biden ordered the military not to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon.
A high-altitude balloon was spotted over Billings, Montana, on Wednesday.
The United States “has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now,” Pentagon spokesperson Brigadier General Pat Ryder said.
“We continue to track and monitor it closely,” Ryder said. “Once the balloon was detected the U.S. government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information.”
“The balloon is currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground,” Ryder added.
China has claimed responsibility for the airship alleging that it was just a weather research “airship.”
The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a statement that claimed the balloon was a “civilian airship” conducting meteorological research that “deviated far from its planned course” due to strong winds.
“The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into U.S. airspace due to force majeure,” the Foreign Ministry said.
President Joe Biden chose to monitor the Chinese balloon which invaded American airspace, rather than shooting it down.
Biden reportedly proposed shooting down the balloon but backed down when the Pentagon pushed back due to alleged fears about debris causing damage on the ground.
Only after the balloon traveled across America did the U.S. military shoot down the Chinese spy balloon on Saturday afternoon.
House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-NC) said that it was “indefensible that this threat was eliminated only after great public outcry and the damage to U.S. national security and American sovereignty was already done.”
“The fact remains that President Biden, when faced with the opportunity to protect the homeland from our adversaries, chose yet again to demonstrate weakness on the global stage,” Green added. “From the Southern border to Afghanistan and, now, Chinese surveillance directly above our homes and sensitive military installations, this President shows he is not interested in protecting American interests.”
Republican Montana Rep. Ryan Zinke also ripped the Biden administration for not immediately shooting down the balloon.
“We should have shot it down. It’s embarrassing. Because the US faces clear and present danger with the Chinese and we can’t shoot down a balloon over rural Montana?” Zinke told the Daily Caller.
“Roosevelt County, where our family goes back. I think it’s the least populated county in the lower 48. An then how did it get here? It had to go through the Aleutian Chains. And I’ve been on the Aleutian chain, and I can tell there’s not a whole lot out there either,” he added.
