The Democrats like to blame Trump for the breakdown in civility that’s happened in politics and Joe Biden keeps saying that he’ll make things go back.
But when Democrats talk about bringing about a return to decency, what they mean is Republicans being complacent while they pass increasingly radical proposals.
Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein got a “long and serious” lecture from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer because she was too nice to Republicans during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
Joe Biden can’t even stop himself from insulting Trump voters while he’s in the middle of preaching on how he’ll bring unity to America.
“We don’t do things like those chumps out there with the microphones are doing, the Trump guys,” Biden said.
Biden later insulted the group again in his speech, saying, “I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do, including those chumps with the microphone out there.” Biden said this during an event where he claimed he is about promoting “unity over division.”
Trump supporters set up nearby Biden’s event in such numbers that they almost turned the event into a Trump rally.
“Incredible,” Fox News journalist Joe Shikhman wrote on Twitter. “The one public appearance Joe Biden does this weekend is a speech in Pennsylvania that immediately turns into a massive Trump rally/car parade/GOTV event.”
Joe Biden isn’t a moderate who will bridge gaps. He’s a corrupt politician who’s already shown that he’s open to packing the Supreme Court.
“And I will ask them to, over 180 days, come back to me with recommendations as to how to reform the court system because it’s getting out of whack – the way in which it’s being handled and it’s not about court packing,” Biden said.
It’s the Democrats who are looking to add Supreme Court justices, end the filibuster and add states.
They’re willing to tear down the American system in order to gain their socialist victories and whenever Republicans get in the way of their plans they are viciously attacked.
Twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said on Sunday that Republican voters “have been cowards, spineless enablers,” adding that Trump has been “damaging of our norms and our values.”
If the Democrats want to heal the divides that are threatening American unity, they need to start by treating American voters on the other side with basic civility.
The Democratic leadership are making it a habit to attack everyone on the other side of politics and they should stop before it damages America.
