Joe Biden’s handlers don’t like it when Biden takes unscripted questions.
The reason is obvious.
So it made sense when Joe Biden snapped after being asked one question about mandating the COVID vaccine.
Joe Biden hosted Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi in the Oval Office as part of an announcement that the U.S. would be ending combat missions in Iraq by the end of the year.
As Biden’s staff tried to shoo reporters out of the room (since it wasn’t a formal press conference staff did not have the ability to select which reporters would ask pre-approved questions), NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell shouted a question at Biden about Secretary of the Department of Veteran Affairs Dennis McDonough mandating the COVID vaccine for frontline employees.
The issue of mandatory vaccinations is a political landmine the administration fears stepping on, so Biden shouted at O’Donnell and said she was a pain for asking such questions – and then confirmed that the VA did mandate some federal workers take the vaccine.
“You are such a pain in the neck, but I’m going to answer your question because we’ve known each other so long. It has nothing to do with Iraq…Yes, Veteran Affairs is going to, in fact, require that all doctors working in their facilities are gonna have to be vaccinated,” Biden fumed.
Data shows the vaccine is effective in preventing serious illness or death, but medical decisions in America are private matters.
Many Americans support vaccines but draw the line at compulsory vaccination.
The corporate media now floods the cable news airwaves with medical experts demanding the Biden administration mandate the vaccine for its employees in hopes to prod state and local governments to follow suit.
And VA Secretary McDonough was the first administration official to take that step.
“We’re mandating vaccines for Title 38 employees because it’s the best way to keep veterans safe, especially as the delta variant spreads across the country,” McDonough stated.
McDonough claimed this move was made with public health in mind.
“Whenever a veteran or a VA employee sets foot in a VA facility, they deserve to know that we have done everything in our power to protect them from COVID-19,” McDonough said.
“With this mandate, we can once again make – and keep – that fundamental promise.”
Administration officials fall all over themselves exclaiming that the federal government will not mandate the vaccine or develop vaccine passports.
They understand mandating the vaccine would incite a political backlash the likes of which have not been seen in years.
But the administration is counting on employers and local governments to issue mandates to compel vaccination.
And the federal government just took the lead on that front.
And that is why Joe Biden exploded.
